The Philadelphia Phillies shortstop, Trea Turner, doesn’t have a brother but a creative sister named Teal Turner. Currently, she works as an art director at Teal Turner Studio & a video colorist at Media Monsters.
Not only is Teal a doting older sister to Trea, but also an adoring aunt to Trea’s son, Beckham. The MLB star is going to be a father of two; he & his wife Kristen are expecting another baby boy in 2023 fall.
On May 14, 2023, on the occasion of Mother’s Day, Trea shared an appreciation post for his mother as well as his sister & wife Kristen, who also share motherhood.
Earlier this year, Turner set up the 2023 World Baseball Classic alight with his record-breaking performance.
With his teammate, Mookie Betts, Trea Turner reached the finals of WBC but came short against Shohei Ohtani’s Japan.
Many expected Turner to start the 2023 MLB season strongly, but the Phillies player has struggled thus far.
The 2019 World Series champion hopes to deliver a strong performance for Phillies later on, after all, he is their $300 million man.
Meet Trea Turner’s Sister, Teal Turner
Treat Turner has only one sibling, which doesn’t include a brother but a sister, Teal Turner.
The Philadelphia Phillies shortstop has shared several Instagram posts with his sister, Teal Turner- some on her birthdays and some during family vacations.
The sibling duo shares a tight-knit bond, with Teal managing to attend a few of Trea’s games despite her hectic schedule.
Unlike him, his older sister didn’t show much interest in sports but is passionate about the creative field.
Teal Turner Is An Art Director
The older sister of Trea Turner is a self-employed art director, working on her project solely for the past eight years.
Teal graduated from The University of North Florida, earning a graphic design and digital media degree in 2012. After graduation, Teal worked as a graphic designer at Resolve Marine Group and Boasting Biz.
Teal worked as an art director and lead photographer at Wanderer Bracelets for five years, quitting her job in June 2022.
Since then, she has been working independently and as a Video Colorist at Media Monsters (2017- now).
Teal Turner runs a personal website in her name selling minimalistic wedding event stationery. Most of Teal’s work is priced at $350 and comes in several collections.
Husband & Relationship
The art director found her right match with an artist and professional photographer.
Turner tied the knot with Ross Lockwood, an artist, earlier this year on January 23, 2023. The couple decided to celebrate their big day at Acre Resort in Mexico with an outdoor theme wedding.
The couple had been dating each other since college, with Teal sharing a throwback snap of her and Ross on her Instagram handle in 2015.
The newlyweds have been pictured in several photos with Trea and his wife, Kristen. Teal is also super close to her little nephew Beckham who turned two earlier in February.
Trea Turner Parents: Donna & Mark Turner
Trea Turner’s parents, Donna and Mark Turner are former athletes.
The MLB superstar Trea Turner’s father, Mark Turner, played high school baseball and was passionate about the sport. And despite his passion, he opted against having a professional baseball career.
So, Mark & his wife Donna believed their son would become a golf player. But Trea decided to choose a baseball bat instead.
Trea and his father aren’t the only athletes in the family. The shortstop’s mother, Donna Turner, was a highly accomplished swimmer in her heyday.
Donna graduated from the State University of New York at Fredonia and received her degree in elementary education.
After joining Boston University for further studies, Donna gave up on her athletic career and focused on earning her degree in Media and Technology.
She previously worked as an Instructional Technology teacher before working as a trainer for K12 products.
The mother of two, Donna, is available on Facebook and has shared several family photos. Without a doubt, we can say that Donna’s favorite family member is her grandson, Beckham, with whom she cheers on her son in the baseball stadiums.
