SportsCentre co-host Jennifer Hedger and Sean McCormick have been married for 19 years and have a son.
Now a famous face in the sports world, Jennifer Hedger was once criticized by her peers for not having a journalism degree. She had an English and Theatre degree from the University of Western Ontario.
Born and raised in London, Ontario, Jennifer Hedger’s first job as a host came in 1998.
She was part of the OHL Primetime show and Rogers Television and contributed to the show Plugged In!
Hedger, 49, first appeared for The Sports Network with the show Off the Record with Michael Landsberg.
She formally joined TSN in 2002 as the co-anchor of SportsCenter for the 11 pm and 2 am ET broadcasts. On the other hand, Hedger currently co-hosts the 10 pm ET edition of SportsCenter.
It Was Love at First Sight for Jennifer Hedger and Sean McCormick!
In an interview with Bleacher Report, Jennifer Hedger didn’t mince her words when she talked about her husband, Sean McCormick.
Sean and Jennifer met at a mutual friend’s wedding in 2004, and straight off the bat, they had an eye for each other.
Jennifer said it was a total physical attraction from the get-go. The TV personality found Sean attractive, and when she learned he was single, she was ready to get her man.
To add the cherry on top, feelings were mutual for Sean. He found Jennifer drop-dead gorgeous and wanted to start a conversation with her.
After their conversation, Sean not only found out she was gorgeous but also witty and smart.
Sean was working for SportsCentre’s rival, Rogers Sportsnet when they first ran into each other in 2004.
He was their multi-platform Sports Broadcaster and worked with them until 2010.
Since then, Sean McCormick has changed his career path and works in the corporate field.
After leaving Rogers Sportsnet, Sean started as Senior Manager of Business Development at FrontStream Payments.
He was later promoted to Director of Business Development. Since 2015, Sean has been working with Moneris, a payment solution provider.
McCormick joined Moneris as a senior account executive and is currently their Vice President of Business Development.
Jennifer and Sean Walked Down the Aisle in January 2006!
Sean wasted no time in proposing to the love of his life. Six months after their first meeting at a wedding, Sean proposed to her during their trip to the Mayan Riviera.
The proposal was no less than that of a movie. Sean handed Jennifer a photo album containing photos of him on different Vegas landmarks, holding letters that read, “Jennifer Hedger, will you marry me?“
It was one of the easiest Yes! of Jennifer’s life, and the two only told their families and friends about their engagement once they reached home.
The couple returned to Mexico for their wedding on January 12, 2006, at the same resort in Playa del Carmen, where they got engaged and spent their honeymoon in Brazil.
Jennifer and Sean became first-time parents on March 18, 2011, with the arrival of their first child, a baby boy whom they named Jaeger.
On her Instagram, Jennifer has shared several pictures of her family, including them cheering for their favorite hockey team, the Edmonton Oilers.
