Valarie Carolyn Allman (born February 23, 1995) is an American discus thrower and a two-time Olympic gold medalist, having won at the 2021 Tokyo and 2024 Paris Olympics.
She also earned a bronze medal at the 2022 World Championships and a silver at the 2023 World Championships. Allman made history as the first American woman to medal in the discus throw at the World Championships.
Born in Newark, Delaware, and raised in Hershey, Pennsylvania, Allman graduated from Stanford University in 2017 with a B.S. in product design.
A seven-time All-American at Stanford, she made her mark in international competitions, winning silver at the 2017 Summer Universiade and bronze at the 2018 Athletics World Cup.
