Urška Žigart, Wife-To-Be Of World Road Race Champion Tadej Pogačar, Is Also A Professional Cyclist

Tadej Pogačar, the 2024 UCI Road World Championships Elite Men’s Road Race winner, is engaged to Urška Žigart, a Professional cyclist like her Fiancée.

Pogačar, 26, also won the Tour de France again, marking his fourth win in six years from 2020. He was beaten twice in 2022 and 2023 by Jonas Vingegaard.

The Tour de France winner and his better-half met in 2019, the same year when he truly broke out as a professional WorldTour cyclist, winning the Tour of California and finishing third in Vuelta a España.

Slowly building into their relationship, they eventually engaged in September 2021, following Tadej’s second Tour de France win.

Tadej Pogačar’s Future Wife, Urška Žigart, Is Also A Serial Winner

Urška Žigart, Tadej’s Fiancée, has identity of own identity in Women’s Peloton, having won multiple titles and participated in international stages.

She has won the Slovenian National Time Trial four times in 2020, 2022, 2023, and 2024. The professional cyclist was also the Slovenian National Road Race Champion in 2024.

During her International career, she won a stage at the 2021 Setmana Ciclista Valenciana and was in the top 10 at both the 2023 and 2024 Tour de Suisse Women.

She was third overall at the Gracia–Orlová in 2024, but finished 9th overall in the latest Giro d’Italia Women.

With so much in common from professional careers to being serial winners, both Tadej and Urška have been holding each other’s hands tightly, just like a Cyclist holds their handlebars while riding, and have attended various events together over the years.

Although it has been a few years since they officially announced their engagement, a marriage may be imminent.
