Footballer Van Jefferson and His Wife Samaria Are High School Sweethearts

Pittsburgh Steelers’ football wide receiver Van Jefferson and his wife, Samaria Jefferson, have been together for over a decade.

The couple probably met at Ravenwood High School in Brentwood, Tennessee, where Jefferson had begun his football career.

Eventually, Jefferson and Samaria started began dating on September 19, 2014.

During their high school love story, there have been many twists and turns in their decades-long love story.

When Van Jefferson and Samaria Jefferson were dating in high school, they gave birth to their first child, Bella.

However, just a few weeks after their first childbirth, the couple separated. After a few years, Van and Samaria reconnected and began their old love story again.

Following several thick and thin, the couple finally tied the knot in 2020 after years of dating.

Van Jefferson’s wife, Samaria Jefferson, gained significant attention after giving birth to their son during the Super Bowl!

When the 2022 Super Bowl started, Samaria Jefferson was pregnant with her second child. Meanwhile, her husband, Van Jefferson, playing for the Los Angeles Rams, was focused on preparing for the game.

When the game took place on Sun, Feb 13, 2022, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA, Samaria Jefferson decided to attend the event, although her due date was very near.

In an interview, she revealed, “I did not want to miss the game for anything.

However, Samaria went into labor during the game while her husband played in the Super Bowl. She was immediately taken to a local hospital in an ambulance, and from there, she was shifted to a birthing center after her water broke.

She later said, “I started bawling. I was like, ‘I don’t want to do this without Van.”

After the victory over the Cincinnati Bengals, Van Jefferson discovered that his wife had gone into labor.

Upon receiving the news, he quickly rushed to the birthing center and arrived 30 minutes after his son was born. However, he had watched it unfold on Facetime along the way to the hospital.

That day, Van had two victories, one in the Super Bowl and another in the birth of his son, Champ Curtis.

Later in the interviews, he expressed his utmost joy, saying, “To have a baby on Super Bowl day … and win the Super Bowl too is a blessing. It’s been two wins, so we’re excited.

Similarly, people on social media started talking about Jefferson’s wife’s labor amid the Super Bowl, raising Samaria’s worldwide popularity.

A little over a year in April 2023, Van and Samaria welcomed their third child, a baby boy named Elijah.
