Heidi Diamond, who rose to become a vice president at the Game Show Network and earlier helped shape the early days of Food Network, passed away unexpectedly in December 2025.
So far, the details surrounding his sudden passing remain unknown.
The exclusive news of her sudden passing came from her family. It was her brother, Jeffrey Diamond, who shared the family’s statement:
It is with extreme sadness that the Diamond family shares the devastating news of the unexpected passing of our dear Heidi J Diamond.

She was a loving sister, daughter, aunt, godmother, mentor to thousands of young adults, and enjoyed many friendships around the globe.
Meanwhile, they’ve asked for privacy but thanked everyone for the outpouring of love and support.
The family is planning a graveside service at King David Cemetery in Falls Church, Virginia, and later a celebration of her life in New York City once the details are set.
After the news of her passing made rounds online, friends and former colleagues quickly filled social media with their own memories.
Jessica Rosenberg Schwartz remembered Heidi giving her a first big break, i.e., an internship at Food Network that changed everything.
That short summer job sparked Jessica’s whole career in marketing. She said that Heidi was always the person she could call for honest advice or just a calm voice when things felt overwhelming.
Jessica wrote
She believed in me early on, and that kind of belief stays with you. I’ll miss her more than I can say, and I’ll always be grateful for the role she played in my life.

Rest easy, Heidi. Thank you for everything.
Likewise, another close friend, Lauren Taylor, called Heidi one of those rare people who leave a deep mark the moment you meet them.
She remembered her as an exceptional mentor, an unapologetic leader, and a true original.
“Thank you Heidi Diamond for being the exceptional moment,” Lauren wrote, signing off with a simple and heavy “We are heartbroken. RIP.”

Heidi Diamond spent more than 2 decades working at the top of television and media.
She started out helping grow Food Network when it was still brand new, back when almost nobody had heard of it.
Later, she ran channels for Scripps Networks, then moved over to Game Show Network as an executive vice president and helped shape what ended up on air.
After that, Heidi became president of broadcasting for Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, looking after all their TV and video projects. She also spent time as executive vice president at AMC Networks, running WE tv and Fuse.
When she felt like trying something different, Heidi started her own consulting company called Diamond Enterprises.
There, she helped big companies and tiny startups figure out how to grow, how to make better content, how to sell themselves, and how to reach audiences around the world.
In the last few years, Heidi became a venture partner at 125 Ventures, putting money into new companies that mix sports, entertainment, and technology.
She co-founded Angel Hive, a group that invests in women who are starting businesses meant to make other women’s lives better.
She also advised several young companies, places like AdSkate, Outgage, and WiOfficer, sharing everything she had learned over the years to help them find their way.
On the side, she even launched her own online brand called Frederique’s Choice, and for a while, she ran content and growth for a health-video company called HealthiNation until it was bought by GoodRx.
Through all of it, Heidi was the kind of person who opened doors for others, especially younger people starting out.
She loved spotting talent, giving advice, and cheering people on long after they had left her teams.
Heidi will always remain immortal despite her physical absence, for all the contributions she has made to the younger people.
During this challenging time, we pray for the strength of Heidi’s family.
Rest In Heavenly Peace, Heidi Diamond!
