Victor Rask is a lesser-known player; however, he is pretty capable, more than he is described to be. He has crossed over a decade in the National Hockey League (NFL) in the center position.

Victor Rask | Early Life & Brother
Rask (fully named Victor Emanuel Martin Rask) was born on 1 March 1993, under Pisces’ sun sign. Although he has never enclosed the details of his family background and childhood days, he comes from a family of athletes.
Furthermore, he does not have a brother but an elder sister named Fanny Rask, a former ice hockey player.
She has devoted thirteen years to the Swedish Women’s Hockey League.

Victor Rask | Career
Rask commenced playing ice hockey in 2009 alongside Leksands IF of the then Swedish HockeyAllsvenskan. However, he was first drafted into the National Ice Hockey League in 2011.
Back then, Carolina Hurricanes drafted Victor Rask initially the 42nd overall in the second round of the NHL Entry Draft.
Later the same year, in June, the Calgary Hitmen of the Western Hockey League drafted him third overall in the CHL Import Draft.
Carolina Hurricanes
On 20 October 2011, Rask signed a three-year deal with the Carolina Hurricanes. During his tenure with the Hitmen, he posted ten points, earning him the team’s Rookie of the Year.
During his tenure with the team, Rask played in and out of the Charlotte Checkers for the American Hockey League affiliate. Right then, he also appeared for Team Sweden at the 2013 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships.
After a long journey with the other leagues, his debut in NHL only came on 10 October 2014.
It was against the team, the New York Islanders. Similarly, Rask maintained his foremost goal against the Los Angeles Kings.
After the 2014-15 season, Rask also posted his career-high 48 points and became the team’s alternate captain next year. He shared the title with Jordan Staal, Justin Faulk, and Jeff Skinner.
Altogether, with the Hurricanes, Rask has played 339 games and maintained 163 points (0.480 points per game).

Minnesota Wild
On January 17, 2019, the Carolina Hurricanes traded Rask to the Minnesota Wild for winger Nino Niederreiter. Additionally, his deal with the team was until the end of the 2021-22 season.
With the Wilds, Rask has posted an average time of 12:48 on the ice, with an average of 2.0 points per match.
Victor Rask | Injuries and Achievements
As an athlete, Rask indeed had gained his share of injuries. On August 17, 2017, Rask struggled with an eye injury that kept him away from the games for three to four days.
During his tenure, Victor missed out on two games. Later, on October 22, 2018, Rask was again on the injured list for two to four weeks due to a foot injury and missed out on four games.
Similarly, in September 2018, Rask had to undergo hand surgery due to an incident he gained while cooking. To illustrate, Dr. Harrison Tuttle performed the surgery at Raleigh Orthopaedic on his right fourth, and fifth fingers.
After coming from 2018 to today’s date, Victor Rask has already missed 69 games in total. His injuries have slowed him down a bit; however, he has started accelerating his gameplay.
Currently, he has been shooting in the percentage range of 29.4 percent. Overall, he is a solid middle-six forward, but it is still unknown what the team will do with his contract after the season.
