Warren Township High School Alumni Kyle Debevec Leaves Behind His Parents Christopher And Lisa Debevec

Kyle Debevec, a former student-athlete from Warren Township High School, passed away at 26, leaving his parents and loved ones devastated.

According to reports, the 26-year-old Kyle, a longtime resident of Gurnee, Illinois, died in a car accident on March 8, 2025.

Kyle was heading east on Stearns School Road when, for an unknown reason, he drove off the south side of the road and cashed his car into a tree, leaving him trapped inside the vehicle near Gurnee early Saturday morning.

Moreover, a preliminary coroner investigation showed that Kyle died as a result of blunt force injuries resulting from the vehicle crash.

He was driving a Mercedes-Benz sedan without a seat belt and was trapped in the wreckage when the police arrived at the accident scene.

He was quickly taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville for treatment.

Sadly, Kyle Debevec could not survive his life-threatening injuries and passed away several hours after the accident at the hospital.

Kyle was an exceptional football player at Warren Township High School.

He was known not only for his exceptional athletic skills but also for his kind and cheerful nature.

The Gurnee, Illinois, community mourns the tragic loss of their beloved Kyle Debevec and sends heartfelt condolences to his parents, siblings, and loved ones.

Kyle Debevec Is Survived By His Parents, Christopher And Lisa Debevec!

Former Warren Township High School football star Kyle Debevec is survived by his parents, Christopher Allen and Lisa Marie Debevec, of Gurnee, Illinois.

While very little information about his father, Christopher Allen Debevec, is available as he prefers to maintain a low profile, his mother, Lisa Marie Debevec, is a hairstylist.

Lisa’s Facebook page displays that she is originally from Waukegan, Illinois, and currently works as a hairstylist at Andrews Salon in Gurnee, Illinois.

Although Debevec’s parents keep a low profile, he often shared their pictures on social media, expressing his love for them.

His social media also displays his football journey at Warren Township High School.

In addition to his parents, Christopher and Lisa, Kyle Debevec is also survived by his brother, Carter Debevec.
