Jordan Poole inherited his athletic prowess from his collegiate athlete parents, Anthony and Monet Poole.

Born on June 19, 1999, Jordan Anthony Poole plays for the Washington Wizards of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

After being drafted by the Golden State Warriors in the first round of the 2019 NBA draft, he led the NBA in free throw percentage for the 2021–22 NBA season and won an NBA championship with the Warriors.

Poole received criticism for his lack of polish when he first entered the league.

However, he eventually grew into an explosive and prolific scorer in his stint with the Warriors.

Jordan Poole’s Parents Rigid Coaching Style Made Him An NBA Star!

Anthony and Monet Poole are the parents of the Washington Wizards shooting guard Jordan Poole.

The NBA rising star shares a beautiful bond with his parents, who supported him in his journey to become an NBA player.

Moreover, Jordan grew up with his siblings(two sisters and one brother) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Anthony and Monet fostered a healthy environment for their kids to grow and flourish.

While they always encouraged and supported Jordan, they also maintained an authoritative presence in his life, leading him on his path to achievement.

Anthony Poole was not lenient toward his son. According to one tale, Anthony gave young Jordan a reality check following an unsatisfactory match.

He apprised Jordan that while he could potentially make it to an international league, he might not be qualified for the NBA.

Similarly, Monet also guided Jordan in his NBA journey. She closely monitored her son’s free-throw shooting.

Moreover, Monet would have made him do 10-15 push-ups if he missed a free shot.

Even though the punishment was harsh, it helped JP improve his shooting skills and become healthier.

Poole’s parents have always been there to witness their son’s successes on the court.

From supporting their son when he made a three-pointer in high school to watching him compete in the NBA and win a championship, Jordan and his parents have come a long way.

Anthony and Monet’s college athletic experience and talents proved invaluable in guiding their little kid.

While the parents could not make it to the NBA, their son, Jordan, has become one of the league’s most highly acclaimed newcomers.

While many claim that parents should be more flexible with their children, Anthony and Monet’s rigid attitude helped their son succeed in his career.

Furthermore, their strictness helped Jordan become more disciplined and focused, teaching him the value of hard work.

Similarly, Jordan has frequently credited his parents for his success.
