Hart Allen, a rising 8th grader and talented water polo player, took his last breath tragically following an electrocution accident on June 21, 2025.
The young water polo player, Hart Allen, was a cherished member of Pace Academy, a school his father also attended from 1990 to 1993.
Hart Allen is survived by his parents, Russ and Nicole Allen, and his three elder siblings, Elowyn Allen, Carys Allen, and an elder brother whose name remains concealed.

His parents, Russ and Nicole, were supportive of his career as they were recognized as contributors to the Accelerate Pace capital campaign, a fundraising effort launched in 2020.
The campaign, launched in 2020, raised over $33 million to enhance the school’s facilities, including the construction of the Kam Memar Lower School and renovations to classrooms, the library, and the cafeteria.
Above all, this gesture speaks volumes about Russ and Nicole’s effort in creating an environment where students like Hart could thrive in all aspects, including academics, athletics, and the arts.

Hart Allen’s father, Russ Allen, is the Director of Investment Strategy at Sage Mountain Advisors in Atlanta, a position he has held since April 2021.
With over 22 years of experience, he oversees investment strategies and manager evaluations.
Previously, he was Chief Investment Officer at Berman Capital Advisors (2014–2020), Director of Investment Research at Balentine LLC (2013–2014), and Senior Equity Research Analyst and Portfolio Manager at GLOBALT Investments (2007–2013).

He also worked as an Intelligence Analyst at the National Security Agency (2005–2007).
A CFA Charterholder, Russ earned a bachelor’s degree in History from Wake Forest University and master’s degrees in International Relations from Johns Hopkins University and Political Science from UC San Diego.
Hart Allen Played Water Polo and Lacrosse for Pace Academy!
Hart joined Pace Academy in 2017, following his three older siblings, including sisters Elowyn (class of 2025) and Carys (class of 2028).
Outside the classroom, Hart shone as an athlete, playing both water polo and lacrosse for Pace Academy and competing with the Thunder Lacrosse club team.
Water polo was one of Hart’s passions, and he was a proud member of Pace Academy’s team, which is part of the Georgia High School Water Polo Association.
Beyond athletics, Hart was a dedicated Boy Scout with Pace Academy’s Troop 2024.
He had recently achieved the Life Rank, a significant milestone, and was honored with induction into the Order of the Arrow, a special recognition for Scouts who demonstrate leadership and service.
Hart dreamed of becoming an Eagle Scout, and his family has invited others to honor his memory by donating to the troop’s fund for future Eagle Scout projects.
A memorial service to celebrate his life was held on July 3, 2025, at The Cathedral of St. Philip in Atlanta, where students wore team jerseys, Scout uniforms, or Pace gear to honor Hart’s passions.
The Allen family suggested donations to the Atlanta Humane Society, the Chenar Fund for underserved youth, and Pace’s Boy Scout Troop 2024, reflecting Hart’s love for animals, service, and scouting.
During this ordeal, we offer our sincere condolence to Hart Allen’s parents, siblings, friends, and extended family.
Rest In Heavenly Peace, Hart Allen!
