Since retiring from professional basketball in 2004, NBA legend Karl Malone has mostly stayed out of the limelight, focusing on his business ventures.

Karl Malone resides in Louisiana, where he enjoys watching Utah Jazz games on TV and occasionally visits in person. Meanwhile, he has also been involved in various business ventures and spends time with his family.

Most of his social media content, including Instagram, revolves around his heyday, reminiscing his successful NBA days.

One of the most recent glimpses of the legend dates back to an interview just days before Salt Lake City hosted the 2023 NBA All-Star Game. Malone shared memories from the 1993 All-Star Game in an interview with KUTV.

In the KUTV interview, Malone reflected on his experiences at the 1993 All-Star Game in Salt Lake City.

When asked how was it like playing for the Utah Jazz, Malone reminisced about the camaraderie with his fellow All-Stars and how the 1993 game marked a key moment in his career, saying:

Amazing but that was just a short part of my life and I have a lot of work to do still so but it was it was neat but the ride was are you are do you do you miss those days or you’re you’re probably more forward thinking though. I miss the camaraderie of that brotherhood like I missed that but no the competitive part is now just business.

While Malone didn’t dig into much detail about his achievements during that season, he emphasized how important the 1993 All-Star Game was to him.

Likewise, during an interview with The Salt Lake Tribune in February 2023, he discussed his relationship with the Utah Jazz organization and his desire to reconnect with the team.

That said, he declined to address past controversies, stating, “I’m not discussing any of that backlash. I don’t care. That’s my life, that’s my personal life, and I’ll deal with that like I’ve had to deal with everything. So, whatever.

Previously, he was alleged of a statutory rape in 1983. The allegations ignited from Malone’s relationship with Gloria Bell, a 13-year-old girl.

When Malone was 20 years old, he was accused of fathering Gloria. Resulting in the birth of a child, Demetress Bell, who later became a professional football player in the NFL. However, he reportedly denied paternity at the time and avoided legal consequences.

Because of the age difference, the relationship has been described as statutory rape under U.S. law.

Retired NBA Player Karl Malone Is Now Involved in the Business and Automotive Industry!

Since hanging up his jersey, the retired NBA player Karl Malone has been making moves in the business world, which started during his basketball days.

He runs several ventures, including new and used car dealerships, a 37-acre outdoor mall, a couple of Burger King franchises, Teriyaki Grill restaurants, a Texaco/Arby’s gas station, a 230-acre cattle ranch called Malone Outfitters, where he’s a licensed hunting guide.

On top of that, he has three Jiffy Lube franchises and owns a couple of condos at the Green Valley Resort in St. George.

Not to forget, Malone’s automotive empire, the Karl Malone Auto Group, began in Draper, UT, in 2010. It has now spread to multiple locations across Arkansas, Louisiana, Utah, and Idaho.

His dealerships offer brands like Toyota, Ford, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Lincoln, Honda, and Can-Am.

In fact, the NBA legend’s prime motive is not just selling cars, but also providing jobs to the local community, which speaks volumes about his attitude to giving back to society.

Andy Madsen, Malone’s longtime partner and auto enterprise manager, shared that when Malone visits, he’s like a “Disneyland Dad.”

He’s out there having a blast, doing nice things for the employees and talking about their families. To say the least, Mason is like a stand-up guy.

Likewise, Andy Madsen also mentioned that one Christmas Eve, Malon showed up and handed out $500 to everyone in the group.
