Even if he’s a lawyer by profession, Luke Joeckel father, David Joeckel, has managed to groom all of his children to become athletes.

His father and mother are college sweethearts, and they have four children together, including Luke.

Luke Tobias Joeckel is a former American professional football player born in Arlington, Texas, on November 6, 1991.

He used to play as an offensive lineman in the National Football League (NFL). Joeckel graduated from Arlington High Schoo ass an All-State offensive lineman. 

Rivals.com labeled Joeckel as a four-star recruit. Furthermore, they also ranked him as the No. 5 offensive tackle prospect in the class of 2010.

Joeckel attended Texas A&M University, where he played football for the Aggies from 2010 to 2012. He enrolled in January 2010 and participated in the Aggies’ spring exercises.

Despite playing left tackle in college, Joeckel began his professional career at correct tackle. On June 22, 2013, Joeckel signed a four-year contract with the Jaguars.

Joeckel reverted to his natural position on the left side after the Jaguars traded left tackle Eugene Monroe to the Baltimore Ravens on October 1, 2013.

Luke’s father,r David Joeckel, has a law background as a trial attorney.

He went to Texas Tech University. He was a three-year starter and four-year letterman for the Red Raiders.

Later, after receiving his BBA in Lubbock, he received his JD from Texas Tech Law School. He was elected to Law Review and graduated with honors in 1986.

Dave has worked as a plaintiff’s lawyer in Dallas-Fort Worth, handling hundreds of claims for people who have been hurt or wronged.

Also, he formerly worked as a partner at the 250-lawyer firm Hopkins & Sutter and as a shareholder at the 7-person firm Smith & Polewski.

Later, Dave was admitted to the New Mexico State Bar in 2016, and his practice has expanded and thrived since then.

For over three decades, David has been married to Reecanne Joeckel, Luke’s mother. They met in high school and went to Texas Tech together.

Furthermore, Reecanne and a partner own BrandEra, an advertising agency in Fort Worth, Texas.

Dave and Reecanne are also the proud owners of a second home in Placitas, New Mexico, where they enjoy meeting clients and spending time with friends and family.

Luke has two brothers, David and Matt along with one sister. 

His eldest sibling, David, is currently a football coach. He is serving as an offensive coordinator at Plano East High School.

Previously, David has had a pretty decent collegiate football career. He was an All-Conference and All-Region offensive lineman at DePauw University.

He later graduated from the same college with an economics degree. 

Likewise, his twin brother Matt is a lawyer at the Winstead firm in Dallas.

Regarding his sister, Sarah is currently a Physician Assistant for a spine surgeon in Houston.

Previously, she played numerous sports throughout high school, focusing on volleyball.

Later, she became an all-state and high school All-American during her junior and senior years.

She earned a full volleyball scholarship at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth.
