Allie Clifton husband, Jason Kalsow, is the former assistant coach of the Toledo Men’s basketball team. Jason and Allie have been married for a decade.
The Ohio native, Allie Clifton, comes from a household of former basketball players. Her older sister, Abbie, is a former collegiate basketball player at Central Michigan and later at the University of Northwestern Ohio.
During her collegiate at the University of Toledo, Allie was co-captain of the team for three years. In her senior year at Toledo, Clifton appeared in 28 games and averaged 5.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.1 steals.
Her career in journalism began right after she graduated from Toledo with WTVG, and now she works with Spectrum SportsNet as the TV pregame host for the Lakers.
With NBA season back in town, the five-time Emmy winner, Allie is also back in business.

Allie Clifton’s husband, Jason Kalsow, is a native of Huntley, Illinois. He enrolled in 2001 at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and graduated with a degree in Education.
But before enrolling at UW-Stevens Point, Jason played for one year in Iceland and participated in the 2005 Euro Cup. As a collegiate basketball player, Jason won a couple of NCAA Divison III titles and three conference titles.
In 2005, Jason was named the NCAA Division III National Player of the Year and also earned the honor of the Final Four’s MVP. After a successful playing career, Jason was inducted into UWSP’s Athletic Hall of Fame in 2010.
Jason’s coaching career began with UWSP as a volunteer coach and two years as a graduate assistant. In 2008, Jason joined the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay as an assistant basketball coach, where he coached for two seasons.
It was in Toledo that Jason’s coaching career rose. He joined the Rockets in 2010. In his third season, the Rockets posted a school-record 27 games victory, which at the time ranked fourth in Mid-American Conference history.
It was also the season Toledo won its eighth league regular-season title. After eight successful seasons with Toledo, Jason bid the team goodbye.
In an article shared by Toledo Blade in 2018, the former assistant coach left the Rockets program to move to Los Angeles with Allie.
Jason and Allie tied the knot on August 31, 2013, and have kept their relationship away from the public limelight. Jason has kept his Instagram handle private, and though Allie regularly posts, it is rarely about her love life.
Allie Clifton Family
Allie Clifton was born to Bill and Kim Clifton and is one of their three kids. She was born and raised in Van Wert, Ohio, and is a former collegiate basketball player for the Toledo Rockets women’s team.
Allie began her reporting career with WTVG 13Abc Action News in 2012 and later joined the Cleveland Cavaliers broadcast team. She worked with the Cavaliers until 2018 and joined the Lakers team with Spectrum SportsNet.
On her Instagram handle, Allie has shared several posts with her family members, especially with her parents. She has shared several tribute posts for her mom and dad.
Her latest family post came last month in September, featuring both her siblings, Abbie and Corey. Her brother, Corey, is a St. Joseph’s College graduate and later earned his master’s degree from the University of Toledo.
He is currently the director of golf operations at Hickory Sticks Golf Course and is also a program director at the YMCA of Van Wert County. Corey is available on Instagram but has kept his handle private.
