Pete Nance doesn’t have a wife but has a girlfriend named Josie Rae. The G-League player’s girlfriend recently celebrated her 25th birthday. 

Josie is an entrepreneur and founder of the fashion company Amorae Brand. Amorae sells curated vintage and secondhand clothing, with their products ranging from $100-$35. 

Rae is a Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising graduate and had previously talked about her fashion journey in the podcast Love, Kinsey in 2022. Josie graduated with a business degree from FIDM.

Going into college, Josie had made up her mind to become a stylist. She had previously toured FIT in New York but felt that she was made more for the LA culture.

Halfway through her associate’s degree, Josie realized she didn’t want to become a stylist and started focusing on creating a brand.

She began by selling her vintage clothes, and after graduation, Josie convinced her parents, and after getting their green light, she started her business.

Josie’s business began gaining traction during the pandemic, and after everything started opening up, Josie began organizing pop-up events. 

At first, Josie had named her company Ray Collectives but later changed the name to Amorae. On Instagram, Josie has 4.5k followers, and her brand, Amorae, has 4.2k.

In the podcast, Josie mentioned that the key to becoming a successful entrepreneur was not to be scared of pivoting and trusting your gut. 

One of the first photos of Pete and Josie is from 2021. She shared a photo of her and the basketball player in between several other images and captioned the post, “Life [white heart emoji].”

The two haven’t appeared much on each other social media profiles. The Cavaliers player shared the photo of his girlfriend for the first time last year in October.

Pete Nance Comes From A Family Of Basketball Players

The former Wildcats player, Pete Nance, comes from a famous basketball family. His father, Larry Nance, played 13 seasons in the NFL, with the first six being at the Phoenix Suns and the latter years being at the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Pete’s older brother, Larry Nance Jr, started his NFL career with the Lakers and later moved to Cavaliers. He played one season with the Portland Trail Blazers and is in his second season with the Pelicans.

In an interview, Pete accepted that early in his basketball career, he used to feel the burden of living up to his family name. He used to fear not having a career as long as those before him.

But he said he had got those feelings in control in the past few years. He admitted that his path already looked different from theirs and that he was running his own race. 

Pete’s older sister, Casey Nance, played collegiate basketball at the University of Dayton. She graduated from Dayton in 2011 and was the co-captain in her senior season, averaging 5.2 points. She ranks 10th on the UD all-time rebounds list with 712 and second on the all-time blocks list with 214. 

Casey previously worked with Cleveland Indians as their event and experience coordinator, and since last year, she has been working at thunder::tech as an account manager. 

Pete’s mom, Jaynee Nance, is the only one in the family with no previous affiliation with basketball before her wedding to the NBA player. Jaynee might not have been a basketball player, but measured 6’2.

Before deciding to settle down with Larry, Jaynee had established her interior plant business. Jaynee is available on Instagram and has shared several family photos, and also that of her plants.
