Daniel John Dakich is an American basketball sportscaster who hosts the “Don’t @ Me” radio show for OutKick.

Aside from hosting, Dakich has experience as a former basketball player and coach. He Had a successful basketball career before embarking on his hosting career.

From 1981 to 1985, he played for Indiana University under coach Bob Knight, serving as team captain in his junior and senior seasons.

Dakich began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Indiana in 1985. Later, Dakich became the head coach at Bowling Green State University.

One of his players, former Indiana Pacers guard Keith McLeod, signed a professional contract. Despite his efforts, BGSU did not qualify for the NCAA tournament during Dakich’s tenure.

Leigh Dakich is the wife of host Dan Dakich. Leigh was born on September 21 in Ottawa Lake, Michigan

There, she attended Whiteford High School and later graduated from the University of Toledo in 1992.

After graduating, she began coaching by taking charge of the Notre Dame Academy’s softball team.

She later served as an assistant coach at Bowling Green in 1997 before eventually becoming its head coach from 1999 to 2006.

In 2006, she took on the head coach role at Syracuse University. During her time there she led the Syracuse softball program to new heights.

She owns the program’s deepest run into the NCAA Tournament, and her 2011 team owns the best record in SU history.

She resigned from a coaching career after she got engaged to Dan Dakich, who has a radio show based in Indiana.

After marrying Dan, Leigh relocated to Zionsville, where she left her coaching position and transitioned to a new career as a television commentator for sports seasons.

Married Life And Kids 

Leigh is the second wife of Dan Dakich. Dan was previously married to his first wife, Jackie, in 1990.

After twenty-two years of marriage, they decided to separate in 2012. During their marriage, they had two children together, Andrew and Laura.

Dan later fell in love with Leigh-Ross and announced his engagement on the air in January 2015.

He said that for a brief moment on New Year’s Eve, during his proposal at a Chicago restaurant to Ross, “I lost my words.” I am very proud to announce that LLR @CoachRossAtSU said yes to my New Year’s Marriage Proposal!!”

After four months, they tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony filled with family and friends.

Dan and Leigh are parents to two children, Andrew and Laura, from Dan’s previous marriage. The couple do not have their own children.
