Jaden Ivey is a professional American basketball player who plays for the Detroit Pistons in the National Basketball Association (NBA).

During his childhood, he was interested in various sports, including football, basketball, soccer, and karate.

However, he developed a passion for basketball during his freshman year in high school.

Ivey attended Marian High School in Mishawaka, Indiana, and played basketball there for three years.

He then transferred to La Lumiere School in La Porte, Indiana, for his senior year, which is known for its exceptional basketball program. 

Later Jaden committed to play college basketball for Purdue, selecting them over Butler and Notre Dame offers.

Later, his outstanding talent led him to be selected as the fifth overall pick in the 2022 NBA draft by the Detroit Pistons.

She was born on September 24, 1977, and her passion for basketball began during her upbringing as her older brothers heavily influenced her.

She attended Cor Jesu Academy in St. Louis, where she excelled in basketball.

Later, she decided to play for the University of North Carolina.

However, she turned her attention elsewhere due to limited interaction with the UNC head coach, Sylvia Hatchell.

Muffet McGraw from Notre Dame expressed keen interest in Ivey and eventually Ivey decided to commit to attending Notre Dame.

Niele was selected by the Indiana Fever in the 2001 WNBA Draft’s second round, as the 17th overall pick.

Last year, Notre Dame’s women’s basketball team’s head coach Niele Ivey, achieved two significant awards

She was named the ACC Coach of the Year and the ACC Champion head coach title.

The league’s postseason awards were announced last year, with Ivey becoming the first coach from Notre Dame to win this award since her mentor and former head coach, Muffet McGraw, secured it in 2016. 

Under Ivey’s leadership, the Irish secured the regular season ACC title, a feat the school hadn’t achieved since 2017.

In an incredible achievement, Ivey also made history as the first black female head coach to claim an ACC title. 

Niele Ivey’s journey with the Notre Dame women’s basketball program began in 2007.

Over the years, she has taken on various roles, starting as a coach and later becoming the recruiting coordinator.

She eventually climbed to the position of associate head coach in 2015.
