It’s been two years since Talia established Goods Sports Media, and has gained over 5k followers on Instagram. She has shown interest in journalism since her high school days at Pingree.
Talia was previously an editor-in-chief of the Highlander, her high school’s newspaper, and is interning at 247 Sports. She is the only daughter of Jeff Goodman and his wife, Melissa Goodman.
A senior basketball analyst, Jeff has previously worked with ESPN for five years and joined Stadium Basketball Insider in 2018. He has also worked at FOX Sports and CBS Sports.

Jeff Goodman’s daughter, Talia Goodman, is his only child. Talia, born on September 10, 2003, is 20 years old.
A graduate of Pingree School, Talia has followed in her famous dad’s footsteps. Like her dad, Talia has a knack for journalism and is studying Sports Media at Indiana University.
At a young age, Talia has already gained invaluable experience. Though it helps that her dad is a well-known name, it wouldn’t have been possible for her to maintain a position at her workplace if it weren’t for her hard work.
Talia began her career as a marketing and social media summer intern at Hockey Night In New England. She worked with them for four months before joining the staff writer team at Canes Country.
Previously, her father made everyone know about Talia’s love for hockey. In his X profile, Jeff shared a video of Talia getting excited as she received a Jack Hughes jersey for her 16th birthday.
Last year, Talia worked as a Production Intern for NBC Sports Boston. She assisted in transcribing interviews and press conferences and wrote multiple scripts that appeared on both Early Edition and Boston Sports Tonight.
Since 2022, Talia has been working with The Hoosier Network. She joined the network as the Indiana WSOC and WBB Beat Reporter, and since last year, Talia began covering the Indiana volleyball team.
She has also been working as a sideline reporter for IU women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, and field hockey teams.
Last year, Talia joined Peegs.com (part of 247 Sports) as an intern and has been covering men’s and women’s basketball alongside football for Indiana University.
Talia is available on Instagram, where she has gained 5k followers, and alongside showcasing her everyday life, she also shares pictures from her work as a reporter.
Jeff Goodman Wife: Meet Melissa Goodman
The basketball insider, Jeff Goodman’s wife, Melissa Goodman, has kept herself out of the public limelight.
Melissa graduated from Lehigh University with a Psychology degree in 1991. She worked briefly at Linkage in 2000 and later became the director of operations at Consumer Quality Initiatives for 13 years. Melissa left her role in 2015.
Unlike her daughter and husband, Melissa isn’t very active on social media. Her husband has occasionally shared her pictures on his X profile.
Jeff had previously shared a family photo on their anniversary in 2016. He captioned the post, “Happy anniversary to my wife — yet my daughter (only child) is the winner tonight, getting to tag along for Hamilton!”
Previously, when Jeff was asked why he chose to settle in Newburyport when he could have lived anywhere else, the basketball analyst said he didn’t want to disrupt the lives of his wife and daughter too much.
