The Nebraska alumnus made his choice public through a tweet and Instagram post. The caption read:

“After 9, arguably 10, years in the NFL – I am officially retiring. I truly can’t put into words how grateful I am for this game and the people who have been on this journey with me. Thank you all so much. See you in Canton, OH 🐺”

The former NFL star has not disclosed his post-retirement plans.

He will most likely continue with his podcast, “Bussin with the Boys,” which he hosts with offensive lineman Taylor Lewan.

On the other hand, Compton will surely enjoy retirement life with his wife, Charo, and beautiful daughter, Cerulean Belle.
