Voice of WWE Michael Cole and his wife, Yolanda Coulthard, have been married for several years, but the commentator hasn’t been able to get her interested in wrestling. Yolanda has remained out of the public eye and has never attended one of the WWE shows.
Sean Michael Coulthard, popularly known by his ring name Michael Cole before he entered wrestling showbiz, was a war correspondent.
He began his career as a journalist for CBS Radio and covered the 1988 US Presidential Campaign.
In 1994, Michael spent nine months covering the Yugoslavian Civil War, and a year later, he also covered the aftermath of the Oklahoma City bombing.
Cole began his wrestling career as a backstage interviewer in 1997 and made his first on-screen appearance in an episode of Raw.
Later that year, Cole became one of the three announcers for Raw. Two years later, he made his SmackDown! debut, and he worked on it until 2008.

He returned to Raw in 2008 and later worked in WWE NXT, during which he developed a storyline with Jerry Lawler.
Recently, during WWE Raw, Cole mentioned that the transfer window was closing during the Royal Rumble weekend. He also shared that Zelina Vega is moving to WWE SmackDown! as part of this window.
WWE announced the “Transfer Window” in December 2024, when Raw superstar Chad Gable publicly appeared on SmackDown.
During the match, Michael Cole told fans that Raw GM (Adam Pearce), SmackDown GM (Nick Aldis), and NXT GM (Ava Raine) were working together to move talents around the WWE universe.
Michael Cole Mentions His Wife During An Interview With Pat McAfee!
On January 30, 2023, Michael Cole joined sports analyst Pat McAfee during one of his live shows on YouTube.
Two days before Cole appeared on Pat’s show, the latter made his much-awaited return to WWE Commentary at the Royal Rumble 2023.
Cole talked about how much the WWE fans loved Pat and how well he did throughout the show.
During their live show, Pat mentioned the 2011 WrestleMania, during which Cole hadn’t worked as a commentator but as a wrestler.
Cole, the voice of WWE, fought against Jerry Lawler, and Stone Cold Steve Austin was announced as the special referee.
Though Stone Cold announced Lawler as the winner of the match, Raw GM reversed the decision and declared Cole the winner by disqualification.
In his interview with Pat McAfee, Cole said his wife, Yolanda, was left embarrassed seeing her husband fighting in the ring.
He also mentioned that the match made Yolanda stop watching wrestling. But after seeing her husband’s paycheck, Yolanda said maybe he could do that again.
WrestleMania is the last time, because of the match, that she was ever watching wrestling ever again. She was completely embarrassed until she saw the WrestleMania paycheck. Then she was like, ‘Hey, I might start watching this.

But Michael didn’t fail to mention how much WWE meant to him and his family.
The commentator said despite being taken away from his wife and kids, his family highly appreciates the organization.
Cole also mentioned that it was because of his work with WWE that Yolanda could afford a kidney transplant, and his two sons were able to go through college.
Michael Cole’s Son Has Also Worked In WWE!
Michael and Yolanda didn’t have biological kids and chose to adopt two boys, Calvin and Mark.
In 2005, while commentating on Rey vs Eddie’s match for custody of Rey’s son, Dominik Mysterio, Michael revealed he loved his two adopted sons.
One of Michael’s sons, Calvin Coulthard, previously worked with WWE as an Associate Producer and Stage Manager.
Calvin graduated from Penn State University with a Broadcast Journalism degree in 2009. That same year, he began working for WWE and did so for five years.
In 2015, Calvin joined Benelli USA as a producer while earning his MBA at the University of St. Mary.
He later became Director of Video Production at Recoil Magazine and worked for a while as a Senior Media Director at Serenity Health.
In 2023, Calvin established his company, Lon Wolf Production, which provides clients with marketing and video production consultations.
Unlike Calvin, Mark has stayed out of the public limelight, and much remains unknown about him.
