Yana Santos husband, Thiago Santos, is a mixed martial artist who competes in the light heavyweight in the Professional Fighters League (PFL).

Formerly known as Yana Kunitskaya, she took on her husband’s last name following their marriage.

The MMA couple have been in a relationship since 2019 and publicly announced their engagement in December 2020.

They later got married, although the specific date of their wedding is undisclosed.

Yana Santos is a Russian professional mixed martial artist who competes in the bantamweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

Born into a family of athletes, Yana showed an early interest in sports and began learning taekwondo during her pre-school years. 

Moreover, she won numerous tournaments in many fights.

At the age of 12, She began competing hand-to-hand in combat, further developing her skills in martial arts.

On May 23, 2009, Yana Santos made her professional mixed martial arts debut at a K-1 World Grand Prix event held in Poland.

In her UFC debut at UFC 222, Yana faced Cris Cyborg for the featherweight title. However, she suffered a loss in the first round by TKO.

Yana Santos and Thiago Santos have been happily married after their engagement in 2020 and are committed to each other.

Although they didn’t have a fancy wedding yet, their family is filled with joy and love thanks to their baby daughter.

Thiago Santos is a Brazilian mixed martial artist who currently competes in the light heavyweight division of the Professional Fighters League (PFL).

He previously fought in the UFC in both the light heavyweight and middleweight divisions.

Santos began his professional MMA career in 2010 and earned his way into the UFC by participating in The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 2.

Yana And Thiago Are Parents To Three Kids 

Both Thiago and Yana have kids from previous relationships; Thiago has a son named Tiago, while Yana has a son named Adam.

In April 2022, the couple welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Alisa Santos.

Following the birth, the couple shared pictures of their daughter on their social media

Surprisingly, she received a lot of backlash when Yana announced her pregnancy, as some fans and media outlets accused her of fighting while pregnant.

However, both Yana and her husband have completely denied these claims.

The couple is living a fulfilled life with a focus on their career as well as family responsibilities. 

Thiago’s Rough Childhood

Thiago Santos grew up in a low-income family in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. As he was raised in a community, he faced a lot of trouble as it was one of the city’s most violent communities.

Thiago and his family suffered more challenges when they lost everything they owned in a flood, leaving them no place to call home.

Additionally, Thiago struggled with an undiagnosed disease during his early years, which only added to the hardships he had to face.

Due to his tough childhood, he has deep empathy for individuals who are unable to pursue their dreams due to financial problems.

Motivated by this, he and his partner have established a non-profit organization dedicated to providing free mixed martial arts training to children from poor families.

Through their efforts, the power couple is making a positive impact and creating opportunities for a brighter future for these children.
