Thus far, the details surrounding her sudden passing remain concealed as her family is grieving in private.

Carrie leaves behind her parents, Clay and Terri Pearson, her beloved cat, Sucre, as well as her extended family.

Terri, her mother, hasn’t broken her silence about her passing, but she updated her Facebook profile picture to one featuring Carrie.

Carrie loved her cat Sucre immensely, whom she called the ultimate “Love of her life.”

Taylor Hotchkiss, one of her friends, wrote an eulogy, which reads:

What I think of when I think of Carrie Pearson: First, her cat Sucre, who she called the love of her life. I can totally relate to that feeling and Carrie’s love for Sucre was one of the things I loved most about her.

She said that despite how Carrie was doing, she always asked her what she was up to and, above all, genuinely cared.

Despite how Carrie was doing, she ALWAYS asked how I was doing and genuinely cared. I’ll never forget the way she said “Hey TayTay!!!” everytime I saw her, and called Rex & I “Tex”.
