11 Year Old Jasper Baseball Player Karsyn Wayne Slaydon Dies in UTV Rollover Accident Leaving His Parents, John and Jodi, Heartbroken

Karsyn Wayne Slaydon, an 11-year-old boy from Jasper County, Texas, tragically passed away in a UTV rollover accident on August 26, 2025.

On the evening of August 26, 2025, he was riding in a UTV in the Beech Grove community with his family members.

UTV reportedly rolled over while going too fast around a curve.

Karsyn got trapped under the UTV. Firefighters and a nearby nurse quickly lifted him and gave him first aid until the ambulance arrived.

Then, he was taken to Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Tragically, he passed away.

Additionally, a 7-year-old passenger was also hurt in the crash but survived with non-life-threatening injuries.

Karsyn Wayne Slaydon’s Family and the Entire Community Are Mourning the Loss of the Young Boy

Born on February 5, 2014, Karsyn was an 11-year-old boy from Jasper, Texas. He was involved in baseball and basketball, playing locally.

Beyond this, he enjoyed riding his four-wheeler, telling a funny joke, and playing a prank.

The accident has left his parents, John and Jodi, and his younger sister, Kylynn, heartbroken.

His neighbors, friends, and even strangers have come together to mourn the loss of Karsyn.

One of Karsyn’s neighbours shared a touching tribute, saying:

I have no words, as none of us can say anything to ease the pain you are all going through right now. Just please know that you all have a community of family, friends and others who are lifting you up in prayer. Sending prayers for comfort, strength and peace to everyone grieving the loss of this precious child. 

Similarly, a Facebook user named Haley Jayne Stephenson” expressed her sadness, saying:

Sweet baby I promise any foul anything being said about you sweet boy will be dealt with . I know you wouldn’t want your family to have to deal with the stupidity and clueless words. Rest easy baby boy . Karson Wayne slaydon

To help the grieving family, a GoFundMe campaign “In Loving Memory of Karsyn: Support Needed” was launched by a close friend named Leah.

The main purpose of the fundraiser is to cover funeral expenses and provide ongoing support to Karsyn’s parents, John and Jodi Slaydon.

Moreover, the fundraiser also honors Karsyn’s younger sister, Kylynn, with any remaining funds going toward her care.

Karsyn Wayne Slaydon’s Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, September 1, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Beech Grove Baptist Church.

Moreover, the visitation will take place at the church from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., immediately preceding the service.
