76ers takes the win over the Wizards in game 1

The playoff for Eastern Conference No.1 Philadelphia 76ers kicked off today at Wells Fargo Centre as they faced the Washington Wizards for game 1.

The 76ers defeated the Wizards 125-118 and took home-court advantage over the Wizards taking lead in 7 game series.

Tobias Harris got his NBA Playoffs career-high while Ben Simmons’s defense shines as this powers the 76ers in Game 1.

Both the teams started strong going head to head in the first half but the 76ers broke through in the second half and ultimately took the win over the Wizards.

Head to Head starts in the first quarter.

Joel Embidd started the quarter with a jumper and Alex Len answered back with a left-handed jumper.

Both tied the game 4-4 with 10:37 remaining in the quarter.

Subsequently, the 76ers made a 13-4 run as Ben Simmons drops a jumper. Followed by Tobias Harris‘s layup on Seth Curry’s pass.

Bradley Beal misfired for the Wizards, giving Simmons a chance as he drives to the basket on the other and finishes with a layup.

Then Tobias Harris drops a jumper. These buckets give the 76ers a 6-0 run of the 13-4 run.

As Russell Westbrook hits a jumper to answer back.

Continuing the run Harris hits another jumper right after with 8:13 remaining in the quarter.

He hits a back-to-back jumper halfway into the quarter, giving 76ers a 10 point advantage.

But the Wizards slowly start to find their rhythm as they start to come back in the quarter.

They first made a 4-0 run to bring the game within five points with 3:39 remaining in the quarter.

But the Wizards still trailed the 76ers by six points.

Ish Smith blocked Harris that gave Davis Bertans a bucket from behind the three-point line bringing the game within a point.

Bertans hits another three-pointer giving the lead over the 76ers for the first time after trailing with as much as 10 points.

Soon the Wizards extended the lead to four points with under a minute left to play.

Harris then hits a bucket cutting the lead to two points then Dwight Howard draws a foul with a bucket giving the 76ers the lead.

Westbrook then gives the Wizards a one-point lead with 7.6 remaining.

The quarter ends 28-27.

Strong shooting from both sides in the second quarter.

Ish Smith with the double opens the second quarter. Followed by Beal’s jumper to give a five-point lead.

Embiid then drew a foul as he makes a basket tying the game with 9:30 on the clock.

Both the teams went back and forth hitting the bucket.

Danny Green hits a three-pointer then Rui Hachimura answers back with a turn-around jumper.

Embiid and Harris hit back-to-back buckets giving the 76ers a four-point lead.

Len then hits a jumper to close the gap.

But Harris knocked a three-pointer to extend the gap again. Len drew a foul along with a bucket to again close the gap.

Harris’s brilliant shooting continues as he hits back-to-back buckets, giving a four-point lead with 3:44 remaining in the quarter.

Westbrook then drives to the basket and finishes with a layup followed by Raul Neto’s three-pointer giving the Wizards a one-point lead.

Both the teams tied again at 51-51 with 2:26 remaining.

Harris kept on making buckets for the 76ers to give the lead.

The Wizards answered back to tie the game again.

Dwight drew a foul along with a bucket giving the 76ers a four-point lead.

Bertans then hits a three-pointer bringing the game within a point.

Gafford then drops the bucket on Beal miss layup giving the Wizards a point lead again.

The quarter ends 62-61 with the Wizards in the lead.

The Wizards fired up in the third quarter.

Russell Westbrook scores the first points of the third quarter on free throws.

Joel Embiid drops a three-pointer with 10:32 remaining in the quarter as this ties the game at 66-66.

Then Len answers back with a bucket on Westbrook’s pass.

Seth Curry then hits a three-pointer subsequently taking the lead for the 76ers.

Both the teams went back and forth scoring to take the lead.

Harris hits a layup on Simmons bounced pass followed by Simmons’ dunk on Embiid’s missed bucket.

The Wizards then made a 7-1 run taking a three-point lead halfway into the quarter.

Harris then hit a three-pointer to tie the game at 77-77.

The Wizards then take the lead with a bucket subsequently Seth hits a three-pointer to take the lead for the 76ers.

Danny Green then drops a layup extending the lead for the 76ers.

Beal answers back with a bucket to bring the Wizards with one-point.

Green hits a three-pointer right back giving a four-point lead over the Wizards.

Followed by Seth’s three-pointer on Harris’ pass to give the 76ers a seven-point advantage.

Beal answers back with a jumper and Seth answers right back with a jumper as well.

Ish Smith sets up Gafford for a bucket.

The 76ers took 8 point advantage with 1:21 remaining on the clock.

Embiid answers right back after Beal scores a bucket as the quarter ends 93-99 with the 76ers in the lead.

The 76ers take the win.

Shake Milton hits a three-pointer as the 76ers take a nine-point lead.

Robin Lopez answers back with a bucket cutting the lead 95-102 with only a minute into the game.

George Hill then answered back with a layup to extend the lead.

Westbrook drops a jumper bringing the game within a five-point.

Subsequently, Seth answered back with a jumper taking a seven-point lead to the 76ers.

Rui Hachimura then drops a three-pointer bringing the game within four-point.

Curry again drops a bucket for the 76ers.

Green hit a three-pointer on Harris pass giving the 76ers 9 point lead with 3:13 remaining in the game.

Both the team went back and forth scoring.

Bertans hit a three-pointer bringing the game within six points with 1:52 remaining.

Hachimura knocks down a three-pointer to cut the lead.

Embiid makes two straight free throws with only 14 seconds remaining that seals the game for the 76ers.

As the game ends 118-125 giving the 76ers the first win.

Tobias Harris dropped NBA playoffs career-high, scoring 37 points with 6 rebounds and 2 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Joel Embiid dropped 30 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 assists.

Likewise, Seth Curry scored 15 points with 4 rebounds and an assist.

And Danny Green scored 11 points along with 2 rebounds and 2 assists.

Ben Simmons made 15 rebounds and 15 assists and dropped 6 points.

George Hill dropped 11 points with 2 rebounds and 2 assists all coming off the bench.

On the other hand, Bradley Beal led the Wizards scoring 33 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists.

Followed by Russell Westbrook who made 16 points and 14 assists double-double along with 5 assists.

Meanwhile, Rui Hachimura and Alex Len both contributed 12 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 assists.

Davis Bertans led the Wizards’ bench scoring 14 points, 5 rebounds while Daniel Gafford dropped 12 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists.
