Chirinos’s first-ever professional game was with the AZL Cubs in 2001 after he signed with the Cubs as an undrafted free agent in 2000.

However, his MLB debut came on July 18, 2011, with Tampa Bay Rays. Chirinos was traded to the Texas Rangers on April 2013.

A starter for the Rangers in 2014, Chirinos played a career-high 93 games. Similarly, he had many more career-highs that season with 13 home runs, and 40 RBIs.

After five seasons with Texas Rangers, Chirinos started playing for Astros in 2018 December as the Rangers declined his option for 2019.

Likewise, he also had stints with the Mets, Cubs, and Orioles. Chirinos announced his retirement from professional baseball via his Twitter account on May 3, 2023.

Apart from being a loving mother to their two sons, Heidi is a loving wife and always supported her husband throughout his career in baseball.

It is said that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. David is also a baseball player, like his famous dad, who plays for the Texas Oilers in a utility position.

Chirinos’s firstborn used to take a great interest in his father’s games and would watch his matches from the stands. He also managed to get acquainted with some of the biggest names in MLB.

Robinson also loves to spend time with the family whenever possible. In light of his Instagram feeds, the family of four can be seen having a great time on trips and various events.

The family also celebrated their youngest son Julian’s birthday in March with a superhero-themed party.

Robinson, who likes to address himself as a servant of Christ, is a proud dad and thankful to the lord for his family.

Robinson Chirinos Foundation

Chirinos founded the Robinson Chirinos Foundation after making his big league debut in 2011. It was their mission to benefit the youth in communities who have a love for baseball and education.

It was his father’s wish for him to start a foundation to give back to the community. Therefore, he started out small as Chirinos began donating baseball equipment to kids in need in Venezuela.

He wanted the next generation to have the opportunities that he has had. Luckily, the foundation grew much more after the Texas Rangers began to assist Chirinos in his charitable efforts.

The foundation now provides food, clothing, medicine, and school supplies to those in need both in Venezuela and the United States.

Heidi is mostly active in the foundation doing social services and charity work. Robinson also attends donation events alongside his wife as much as possible.

In addition, they visit shelters and senior living facilities on occasion and help them as needed. The charitable works of the foundation have been a blessing for the homeless and needy people.
