He then enrolled in the University of North Carolina at Tart Heels, where he played college football until 1997.

Thankfully, the Indiana Colts signed him as an undrafted free agent in 1999 on the recommendation of his former college mate Nate Hobgood-Chittick.

During his 13-year-long stint with the Colts, he won a Super Bowl six times and made it into the Pro Bowl games.

Furthermore, Jeff briefly served as a coach for Hebron Christian Academy and Indiana Colts later after his retirement.
