The American football quarterback Tanner Mordecai was born to parents Micah and Leann Mordecai.

Tanner Mordecai, a standout quarterback, began his journey at Midway High School. He recorded 4,797 passing yards and tossing 51 touchdowns on 334 completions out of 567 attempts.

His talent caught the attention of the University of Oklahoma, where he committed to furthering his football career. From 2018 to 2020, Mordecai donned the Oklahoma Sooners’ jersey, participating in 12 games.

Seeking a fresh start in 2021, Mordecai transferred to Southern Methodist University (SMU). His time at SMU saw him play in 24 games and was selected to the American’s All-Conference Second Team.

On December 30, 2022, Tanner Mordecai revealed his decision to continue his collegiate journey by transferring to the University of Wisconsin.

Micah Mordecai pursued his education at Texas A&M and later established a successful chiropractic practice in Waco.

Meanwhile, Leann Mordecai, who grew up in the same area, pursued a career as a radiology technician. It was at the hospital where their paths converged, leading to their marital union.

Presently, the couple resides in Waco, having been married for over 28 years and blessed with three children.

Their family has a rich sporting heritage, with all three children excelling in college athletics.

Their eldest daughter showcased her skills in softball at the University of Kentucky, while the second daughter followed suit at Midwestern State University.
