Patrick Mahomes’ Mother Sparks Debate with Bold Political Statement

Mahomes are probably voting Trump...

The Kansas City Chiefs often make headlines for their game-winning plays and standout quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

However, the Mahomes family has recently entered the spotlight for a different reason: politics.

At a recent Chief’s-Bucs game, Patrick’s mother, Randi Mahomes, showed her support for Donald Trump, wearing a “Make America Great Again“ hat and enthusiastically cheering for the former president.

Her display highlighted an ongoing conversation around public political statements and the visibility of athletes’ families.

While Patrick maintains a neutral stance, focusing on the importance of voting without endorsing any candidate, his family members have expressed their political views more openly.

This openness about political beliefs among family members has sparked both admiration and criticism.

While some fans appreciate their transparency, others have expressed their disappointment.

“I never thought I’d feel bad for Patrick Mahomes, but for him to be half black and to have a mother and wife voting for someone so racist and who will take his daughter’s biological rights away. Damn!!”

However, Donald Trump Jr., the son of former President Donald Trump, expressed his support towards Randi’s video and reposted it while writing “Let’s Go America. Show up and win!!!”

Patrick Mahomes’s Wife Brittany Also Supports Trump

Interestingly, Randi’s open support of Trump isn’t the first time the Mahomes family has drawn attention over political leanings.

Patrick’s wife, Brittany Mahomes, has also subtly indicated her support for Trump.

Earlier this year, she liked posts that aligned with the Republican platform and followed up by engaging with other political posts.

Despite criticism, Brittany responded firmly to critics on her Instagram story, suggesting that adults harboring such negativity must have “deep-rooted issues.“

“I mean honestly … To be a hater as an adult, you have to have some deep rooted issues you refuse to heal from childhood. There’s no reason your brain is fully developed and you hate to see others doing well,”

Additionally, Former President Trump later acknowledged her defense on his Truth Social platform.

Further, he added,

“And the fact that MAGA is the greatest and most powerful Political Movement in the History of our now Failing Country”

Although Brittany faced backlash and even removed a like from a post, her occasional involvement shows that political views in the Mahomes family aren’t confined to the sidelines.

Ultimately, Randi Mahomes’ bold choice raises questions about the visibility of family members’ views in the sports world.

As Election Day approaches, her appearance serves as a reminder that public figures and those around them can hold varied and sometimes conflicting perspectives, bringing personal beliefs into the larger national conversation.

In Case You Didn’t Know

  • Randi is a mother of 3 kids: Patrick, Jackson, and Mia.
  • Previously, she was married to Pat Mahomes and divorced in 2006.
  • She has 2 grandchildren.
