Anthony Becht’s wife, DeeAnn, balances family life, career, and her husband’s demanding coaching schedule.

Anthony G. Becht, born on August 8, 1977, built a remarkable career as both an NFL player and a coach.

Standing at 6’5”, he first made a name for himself as a tight end for the West Virginia Mountaineers, finishing his college career with 83 receptions for 1,173 yards and 10 touchdowns.

His performance earned him honorable mention All-American honors and set the stage for a professional career.

The New York Jets selected Becht with the 27th overall pick in the first round of the 2000 NFL Draft.

He went on to play 11 seasons in the NFL, competing for the Jets, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, St. Louis Rams, Arizona Cardinals, and Kansas City Chiefs.

Known for his consistency, Becht started every game from 2001 to 2003 for the Jets, recording steady receptions and serving as a reliable red-zone target.

After his playing career, Becht transitioned into broadcasting, working with ESPN as a college football analyst and later as a color commentator for the Jets.

He also gained coaching experience with the San Diego Fleet before being named head coach of the St. Louis Battlehawks of the United Football League.

His career reflects dedication, adaptability, and an enduring passion for football.

Anthony Becht’s Wife Built A Successful Real Estate Career While Supporting His NFL Journey

Behind Anthony Becht’s success is his wife, DeeAnn Becht, who has stood beside him for more than two decades.

The couple’s love story began in West Virginia, where Anthony played college football.

In a memorable proposal at West Virginia’s Milan Puskar Stadium, Anthony asked DeeAnn to marry him by surprising her with a message on the scoreboard.

She said yes, beginning a lifelong partnership that has carried them through the highs and challenges of his football journey.

DeeAnn, originally from Clarksburg, West Virginia, is a graduate of West Virginia University and now lives in Wesley Chapel, Florida.

She has built a career of her own as a Coldwell Banker Luxury Property Specialist, drawing on her personal experience of moving across multiple states during Anthony’s NFL career.

Her ability to connect with clients stems from years of navigating relocations with her family, giving her a unique understanding of the real estate process.

Together, Anthony and DeeAnn are parents to two children: Olivia and Rocco.

Their son Rocco now plays quarterback for Iowa State, while their daughter Olivia continues to support the family’s legacy.

DeeAnn plays a central role in balancing family life with her career, all while supporting her husband’s demanding coaching and broadcasting responsibilities.

Their marriage, celebrated with a heartfelt 24th anniversary in 2025, reflects loyalty, resilience, and shared commitment.
