Adam Peters Wikipedia- Peters, a native of California, was born in 1979, the same year the 49ers hired Bill Walsh. A 49ers fan since childhood, he joined the organization in 2017.

Peters has three Super Bowl rings to his name. But the 44-year-old acknowledges that his first two rings with the New England Patriots do not count. In an interview, the humble guy Peters said he hardly did anything, except drive guys to the airport.

He won his third ring with the Broncos, where his reputation grew as he ultimately landed his dream job with the 49ers. And now, after seven years with the 49ers, Peters might look to switch roles and teams.

According to recent reports, the Washington Commanders and Las Vegas Raiders have asked to interview the 49ers’ assistant general manager. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that both sides are interested in Adam taking the role of general manager.  

In 2022, Peters had an interview with the New York Giants for the same position. But that move didn’t go through. There are reports that Adam is good friends with Bob Myers, the recently added consultant to the Commanders. 

But Peters hasn’t given any hints as to whether he will accept or reject the offers. His decision may also depend on whether the 49ers can go all the way and win the Super Bowl title.

Adam Peters was born and raised in Mountain View, California. Peters, age 44, is one of three kids of Frederick and Laurence Peters. 

Peters completed high school at Monta Vista High and earned two letters under coach Brad Metheany. A tight end during his playing days, Adam served as a team captain in his senior year. 

He was also part of his baseball team at Monta Vista High and earned two varsity letters while serving as a team captain. Adam enrolled at West Valley Junior College, where he played tight end for two seasons. 

He later transferred to UCLA and played defensive end for the Bruins from 1999-2001. After earning his degree in Psychology, Adam remained at UCLA as part of their football operations.

He spent one season as a graduate assistant. At only age 23, Adam received his first job in the NFL, and that too with Bill Belichick’s New England Patriots. 

Adam was part of the New England Patriots scouting team for six years (2003-2008), and during this time, he won two Super Bowl rings (2003, 2008). After six years at the Patriots, Adam joined the Broncos.

He joined the Broncos as their regional scout in 2009 and helped the team acquire 27 players through the draft and college free agency.

From 2011-13, Adam served as their national scout, and in 2014, he was promoted to the team’s assistant director of college scouting. In 2016, the same year he won his third Super Bowl ring, Peters became the Broncos director of college scouting. 

He joined his current workplace in 2017 as the vice president of player personnel. After four years in the same role, Peters was promoted to 49ers assistant general manager in 2021.

For a man who has spent several years in the NFL, Peters is quite a private man. He grew up as a 49ers fan with a post of Joe Montana on his wall. 

The 49ers assistant manager is married to Jennifer Peters, with whom he shares two daughters-Alexandra and Emilia. The couple had their first daughter, Alexandra, on January 24, 2018.

Previously, Adam talked about his daughter and his family in a brief interview with The Athletic in 2018. He said the job with the 49ers had always been his dream job and that he was happy to be living near his extended family in the Bay area. 

Adam gave a glimpse of his daughter, Alexandra, during his interview in 2020. The assistant general manager talked about the 2020 NFL Draft scouting details and his life working from home during the pandemic.

Adam also stated that he ultimately wanted to become a general manager somewhere, but said he was in no hurry to escape the current situation.
