Alejandro Berry is a well-known sports anchor who works for an American Spanish-language free-to-air television network, Univision.

Berry is currently working on sports channels, TUDN MEX and TUDN USA. TUDN is an extension of TelevisaUnivision’s sports division.

Alejandro also hosted a late-night version of the network’s signature program, “Univision Deportes Fútbol Club.” He did a round table discussion with various analysts. 

Similarly, he covers soccer from the Major League to the Champions League as an anchor, sharing his expertise and chatting with soccer legends on occasion.

Berry currently resides in Miami. In light of his Instagram bio, we can speculate he will pursue a career as a professional golfer in the near future.

Talking about Alejandro Berry’s parents, the father of TUDN anchor Jorge Berry, was considered a true legend of journalism.

Although the information on Alejandro Berry’s mother is yet to be uncovered, his father had a memorable career in the media.

Born in 1951, Jorge Berry was a Mexican journalist and news reporter. However, he got to know sports from his American parents.

As Jorge was a music lover, his career as a journalist was a surprise to many. He used to play live and had already worked as a musician.

Eventually, he began his profession as a reporter for Televisa in the 1970s. He came into the headlines after presenting the sports section of the 24-hour Newscast.

Furthermore, the legendary journalist was a key person in the media who publicized several of the most important world events.

Among them are the fall of the Twin Towers, the death of Princess Diana of Wales, and the visit of Pope John Paul II to Mexico and Cuba.

One of Jorge’s most notable programs on Mexican television was the Primero Noticias newscast.

In addition, he is also remembered for having been the husband of Lolita Ayala for 10 months. Ayala is another famous news presenter on Mexican television. 

Jorge Berry Passed Away At 72

The death of one of the greatest legends of Mexican television, Jorge Berry, was reported on the afternoon of July 13.

The journalist, sports commentator, and political analyst died at the age of 72. 

His death generated great national commotion on Thursday as people relived his career in front of and behind the small screen.

Jorge’s health was in a predicament despite his ongoing treatment. He was admitted to intensive care with an unfavorable prognosis. 

It was even reported that the legendary journalist had died on Wednesday. Nonetheless, his family denied the rumors. 

Sadly, the tragedy struck the following day as Jorge took his last breath surrounded by family members.

Similarly, Alejandro dedicated emotional words to his father through social media after his passing.

Part of his post read (translated), “My brothers and I are very proud to be your children. He’s surrounded by love and listening to the Beatles. Fly high, Jorge, you live in us.”

The demise of one of the greatest journalists in the history of the country is a big loss for Mexico.
