Alex Hormozi, a first-generation Iranian-American entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist, lost his mother, Florence Hormozi, in an unexpected accident at her home in Baltimore.

He announced the tragic news on social media.

Alex Hormozi has become a prominent figure in the business world for his expertise in scaling companies and driving sales growth.

His journey began in 2013 with a single brick-and-mortar business, which he rapidly expanded using his own effective model to six locations before selling them.

Later, he used that same model to turn around over 32 struggling businesses successfully.

He packaged his successful process into a licensing company, which he scaled and later sold a majority stake in for $46.2 million in 2021.

Similarly, Alex built several other companies to over $120 million in cumulative sales without any outside investment.

He founded Acquisition.com and invests both his money and his business knowledge into other companies, focusing on those that are sales-driven and generate strong cash flow.

People spend their entire lives in passive discomfort, avoiding 36 months of active discomfort to get what they really want.

Florence Hormozi Leaves Behind the Legacy of Love and Service

Florence Hormozi passed away unexpectedly on Friday night in her home in Baltimore. She was a woman of formidable intellect, deep faith, and boundless compassion.

She broke barriers as a member of the first-ever class of female students admitted to Johns Hopkins University. It was a considerable accomplishment cause before her, only men were admitted there.

Florence dedicated her professional life to healing and ran a private eye surgery practice for many years.

Her commitment to her patients knew no bounds, often providing care for those who could not afford it, despite having very little of her own.

Moreover, her compassion extended far beyond her local community, taking her to Africa on multiple missions, where she worked in entire villages to restore sight to the blind people.

Her selfless work embodied her lifelong commitment to alleviating the suffering of others.

Florence gave her life to Christ at the age of 42 and never looked back.

She was brilliant, genuinely kind, and fiercely committed to her convictions. She lived a life guided by her principles, caring deeply for the opinions of only her Savior.

Furthermore, Florence was a fiercely proud and loving mother to her son, Alex. She was always available, always genuine, and shared with him a love for simple joys.

She was known for her spirited nature, able to hold her liquor like a champ, and always ready for a good time.

On the other hand, she’ll also be remembered for her unusual habits, such as being a notoriously terrible driver, wonderfully disorganized, perpetually searching for her keys, and ready to engage in an argument about anything.

She was a consistent, authentic force of nature who bent for no one.

Florence was a ball of goodness who struggled with the world around her and battled her own demons. In her final years, she endured great mental and physical pain.

The pain has ended with her passing, and she can finally reunite with her Creator.

I hope her worldview is right and she is welcomed home in His arms with a message we’d all want: “well done my good and faithful servant.”
Maman, I will miss you.
