Amari Avery’s parents are doing everything possible for their daughter’s successful golf career. She has ranked as high as fifth in the World Amateur Golf Rankings.

Amari was considered a child prodigy and was already playing competitively at six. Her father, a huge Tiger Woods fan, was the one who started her golf lessons at age four.

The amateur golfer is playing in this year’s U.S. Women’s Open, starting July 6, 2023. Her parents have played a crucial role in making it happen.

She is known for her long drives in the course and possesses a polite and well-spoken personality.

A rising sophomore at the University of Southern California, Amari played in the 2022 USA Curtis Cup.

During her freshman season at USC in 2022, she earned First Team All-America honors with three wins in nine stroke-play starts, including a victory in the NCAA Stanford Regional.

The golf star was born to her parents, Andre Avery and Maria Avery. Amari grew up with a younger sister, Alona, who is also a competitive amateur golfer.

Her parents managed to raise two girls with a career in golf despite themselves not being familiar with the game.

Andre Instilled The Love Of Golf In Amari

Amari only used to practice about two hours a day after her school. However, her father, Andre, was determined to make his daughters professional golfers in the near future.

So he decided to homeschool the girls after Amari finished fifth grade. Andre, who used to work in tech, also left his job for the same purpose.

As a result, he stayed home with Avery and her younger sister to focus on making them elite amateur golfers.

Further, Andre divided the girls’ days into golf and schoolwork while shifting a lot more importance to golf.

Although a strict parent, Andre believes his actions will eventually lead Avery to greatness.

Maria Is Incharge Of the Check And Balance

Amari’s mother, Maria, fully supported the cause from her side. She tirelessly worked in Los Angeles to meet the whole family’s needs.

Maria always trusted her husband’s instincts and did her part in the family. In light of Amari’s growing achievements, we can say her faith has paid off.

Moreover, the mother is the enforcer of the house when it comes to balance and breaks. She likes to induce positivity in the environment and take the family’s mind away from golf whenever it burdens them.

Andre and Maria have always been a motivation in Amari’s goal of wanting to be the best in the world.
