Ana Bogadan’s boyfriend, Simone Tempestini, began his career as a rally driver in 2013.
Simone comes from a driving background, with his father, Marco Tempestini, previously being a rally driver.
Simone has Italian roots but has been living in Romania since he was 14. In an interview, Simone said he feels more Romanian than Italian. From a sporting point of view, he has never seen himself as an Italian.
In 2013, it was reported that Marco was passing the torch and handing Simone his long-term co-driver Dorin Pulpea. Simone has won the Romanian Rally Championship seven times and was the 2016 Junior World Rally Champion.
Simone has shown utter dominance in Romanian Rallies. In the past eight years, Simone has only lost out on the title once. It was against Bogdan Marisca in 2017.
In June, Simone won the Maramures Rally for the second time in the last three years. He won six of seven tests taking place in the third stage of the Championship.
