Poughquag, New York resident Ryan Nichols, remembered with deep affection, tragically passed away in a reported accident in November 2025.

His demise came as a sudden and heartbreaking blow to the family,

Ryan Nichols Had A Remarkable Athletic Career (2015–2018) at Arlington High School!

Ryan Nichols, standing 6 feet tall and weighing 215 pounds, was a dedicated football player for Arlington High School in LaGrangeville, NY.

As part of the varsity team, he proudly wore the #74 jersey and played as Center and Long Snapper during his senior year in 2018.

In his junior season of 2016 at Arlington High School in LaGrangeville, NY, he made a strong impact on the field as Center and Long Snapper.

Over 9 games played, he recorded 37 total tackles, including 13 solo tackles, averaging 4.1 tackles per game, along with 2 sacks and even a reception.

His team finished with an impressive 8-1 overall record and a perfect 7-0 league record, ranking #100 in the state and #4363 nationally.

Ryan’s love for the game began in childhood, where football quickly became not just a sport but a defining passion.

Beyond the field, Ryan enjoyed life with an adventurous spirit, surfing, swimming, and hiking.

After completing his high school football career, Ryan carried his passion for athletics into the world of fitness.

Ryan’s sudden demise has left a void in the heart of his family and the entire community.

One of Ryan Nichols’ closest friends shared a heartfelt tribute, writing:

He walked into any room and lit it up with that smile, that cowboy hat, those boots, and that aura you could feel before you even saw him. Regarding the celebration of life, Ryan Nichols’ funeral services will be held at McHoul’s Funeral Home, located at 8895 Route 82 in Hopewell Junction, New York.

Visitations are scheduled for Thursday, December 4th, from 4 PM to 8 PM, followed by a service on Friday, December 5th, at 10 AM.

After the service, a Celebration of Life will take place at the Beekman Firehouse.
