In December 2022, Buhai surprisingly won by one stroke over Jiyai Shin on the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open of the WPGA Tour.

Ashleigh and David met at Gavan Levenson’s Golf Academy located in Johannesburg.

Their love story began 15 years ago when they started dating long-distance. Their bond grew stronger when David left his job at a shoe store to become Ashleigh’s caddie after her previous caddie got injured.
