Ava Moore was kayaking near Oak Park Cove when she was struck by a speeding jet ski operated by an unidentified female suspect, resulting in her tragic death.

Ava Moore was an 18-year-old standout Fort Worth Timber Creek High School basketball player and an Air Force basketball commit.

She tragically passed away in a boating accident on Grapevine Lake on May 26, 2025.

Ava Moore Lost Her Life In A Boating Accident!

Moore was kayaking near Oak Park Cove on Grapevine Lake on May 26. Tragically, she was struck by a speeding jet ski operated by an unidentified female suspect.

The suspect driver fled the scene with a male abettor, who later crashed his vehicle into another car while escaping.

On the other hand, one of the passengers on the jet ski remained at the scene and spoke with first responders.

Witnesses pulled Moore ashore and tried CPR before emergency responders arrived.

She was then transported to Baylor, Scott & White Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Authorities are actively searching for the suspect and have released a photo, asking for public assistance in identifying her.

Moore’s family has expressed their devastation and is pleading for help in bringing those responsible to justice.

Her family shared a written statement, saying:

We are grieving the loss of our daughter at this time….Our prayers are also with the young ladies involved, along with their families.

The fundraiser, organized by Connie Rayford, aims to help ease the burden of funeral costs and provide financial assistance to her loved ones.
