Heather Murphy, 47, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 6, after a brave and determined battle with cancer.
She was surrounded by her loved ones in her hometown, Royersford, Pennsylvania.
Heather Murphy Lived Every Moment For Her Family!
Born on December 29, 1977, Heather was the daughter of Linda Krasley and the late Lawrence E. Murphy.
She was married to Chad Mountcastle, and they had two children together.
1996 Spring-Ford High School graduate, Heather, worked at the Spring-Ford Country Club for over 25 years.
Beyond work, she loved camping, reading, traveling, and spending time at the beach.
She was known as a “baseball mom” due to her support for her children, Alayna and Grayson Gadzicki, during their sports and school activities.
Her family and friends often spoke of how she worked tirelessly to give them everything they needed.
In 2024, to help support Heather Murphy during her courageous battle with cancer, a heartfelt fundraising event was organized under the banner “Support the Gadzicki/Murphy Family.”
The community came together for a Beef & Beer Benefit held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 5:00 to 10:00 PM at the Lower Frederick Fire Company.
Tickets were priced at $40, and attendees were encouraged to share the event widely with family and friends.
Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and the wider community.
Moreover, her family, including her mother Linda, sisters Melissa and Shilyn, step-sisters Blair and Kelley, and many others, is mourning her loss.

Heather Murphy’s visitation and memorial service will be held on Friday, September 12, at R. Strunk Funeral Home.
Similarly, the visitation will take place from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM, followed immediately by a memorial service.
Additionally, the family requested that the donation be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in honor of Heather.
