John Benjamin Jordan, a former college baseball player and skilled contractor, passed away on February 5, 2025, at 52.

His passing leaves behind his wife, children, parents, and a community of friends and loved ones who deeply mourn his loss.

John, nickname John Ben, was born on February 2, 1973, to Ben and Earnestine Jordan; he grew up alongside his brothers, Josh, Joseph, and Jason.

He was a devoted father to his son, Drake Ashton Jordan (Nevaeh), and his daughter, Hailey Kay Jordan.

John Benjamin Jordan Was The Eldest of all three Jordan brothers.

Jordan was a great athlete who loved baseball. He was a college baseball player with a fierce competitive spirit and work ethic that carried over into his life. 

John’s brother Jason remembered how John’s athletic achievements affected his younger siblings. “You’re the reason we all wore #4 in sports,” he said.

Later in life, John found his professional calling in the construction industry, becoming a skilled contractor.

He took pride in his work, with attention to the finer points of carpentry, leaving a legacy of quality craftsmanship.

His passion for building homes was a lasting tribute to his work ethic and commitment.

John loved the outdoors and was pleased being outside. He was happiest when hunting in the woods or fishing in the lake. 

He also showed his love for sports through his passion for teams; he was an actual Dallas CowboysNew York Yankees, and Mizzou Tigers fan.

Above all, John was funny, loyal, and kind. He was a friend to many, and everyone who had the joy of knowing him loved him dearly.

His humor, warmth, and unwavering love for his family and friends will never be forgotten but always be missed.

Following John Benjamin Jordan’s Death, Loved Ones Have Sent Condolences And Memories

Upon hearing the news of John’s passing, his loved ones shared heartfelt tributes and memories. His brother Jason expressed his admiration and shared their photos of his early days.

“John! Part of me is so mad at you and part of me is so broken and sad. Just having talk to you a couple days before. You’re one of my very best friends and I’m so glad that we’ve stayed in touch over the years since we were just goofy kids at Miller Road Baptist Church.
I’m going to miss our lengthy conversations that happened on a monthly basis. I miss hearing your passion for things and getting your insight and advice. I love you brother! I will never forget you and I will keep your memories strong. Until we see each other again. Godspeed”

John Benjamin Jordan enjoyed baseball, was diligent in whatever he did, liked to be outdoors, and was always good to people.

He will be remembered for being diligent and skilled and bringing joy to his family and friends through their good times together.

Later, his family and friends will celebrate his life in Columbia, MO. 

As a token of remembrance, the family asks to take a minute to enjoy the beauty of nature, fish, or enjoy a well-constructed home—like John would’ve wanted.
