An Update On Neale Daniher
Recently, in an interview with “Let’s Talk,” Bec Daniher provided some major updates on her father’s health condition.
Neale was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in 2013. The doctor initially told him that he wouldn’t make it past the first 27 months.
2023 marks ten years on from his diagnosis, and according to his daughter Bec Daniher, he has been able to defy the odds.
However, the disease is slowly but surely turning the odds a little bit now. Neale has lost his ability to speak.
Bec said, “Dad can’t talk anymore. It’s so much more real, that presence of death, than it ever has been… I can feel it creeping and getting closer.”
Her legendary father, Neale, is the co-founder of FightMND, an organization working on finding a cure for MND and creating a world free from MND. FightMND has raised more than $10.45 million in AUD for the research against the disease.
Unfortunately, there is no cure known to humans for MND, though a drug treatment has been approved to help delay progression.
