Bernhard enjoyed a breakthrough season in 1986, attaining the inaugural top spot in the Official World Golf Rankings.

The two-time Master’s Champion (1985 and 1993) has secured victories on all the premiere tours- PGA, European, and International. With 42 wins on the European Tour, he ranks second among the golfer with the most career wins.

Moreover, along with four others, Bernhard is among the ones to have won the official golf tournament on all six continents. In recognition of his contribution, he has received several honors, mainly the Siverl Laurel Leaf, the highest German sports award.
