Before Lori, Bill Walton was married to his first wife, Susie Guth.
They met in college, began dating in 1978, and married in 1979. The pair had four sons together: Adam, Nathan, Luke, and Chris.
Despite having a happy marriage initially, they separated in 1989. While the reasons for their separation are not publicly disclosed, Susie once mentioned that their divorce was bitter and affected their children.
Susie Guth is a parenting consultant and has been involved in teaching parenting classes.
She has been a parent educator since 1991, teaching live parenting or virtual via different online platforms, one-on-one coaching sessions, and various workshops.
Over the years, she has helped over 10,000 families create more peaceful relationships.
Additionally, she founded Indigo Village in 2005, a community providing educational and experiential-based parenting and child development programs.
She published the book Key to Personal Freedom: How Myths Affect Our Family Lives in 2009.
