An American former football quarterback and coach, Brian Griese is the son of former football quarterback and two-time Super Bowl champion Bob Griese.
Brian currently serves as the quarterback coach for the San Francisco 49ers of the NFL. He was hired by the football franchise as coach in March 2022, replacing Rich Scangarello.
Brian played organized football for 11 seasons with franchises such as Miami Dolphins, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Chicago Bears, and Denver Broncos, a team that drafted him in the third round of the 1998 NFL Draft.
Griese was part of the Broncos when they won Super Bowl XXXII in January 1998, defeating the Packers by the score of 31-24.
This made Brian and his father, Bob, the first-ever father-son quarterback duo to win the Super Bowl.

The son of former football quarterback Bob Griese, Brian David Griese, was born in Miami, Florida on March 18, 1975.
He was brought up in a relatively well-off household, given that his father was quite a star back in the day.

After graduating from the University of Michigan in 1997 and playing college football for almost five years, Brian declared for the draft.
And unsurprisingly, he was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the third round of the 1998 NFL Draft.
With the Broncos, he became the Super Bowl champion the same year, even though he spent most of the season on the sidelines.
After John Elway’s retirement, Brian became the starting quarterback in 1999.
Following the 2002 season, Broncos released Brian and replaced him with Jake Plummer.
