Brandon Vazquez is an American professional soccer player who plays as a forward for Major League Soccer club FC Cincinnati and the United States national team.

Vazquez signed with Atlanta United in 2016, ahead of the club’s first season in MLS (2017).

As crazy as it sounds, Brandon came on as a substitute in his debut in MLS and scored a stoppage-time winner to defeat Real Salt Lake.

Furthermore, on November 19, 2019, Vazquez was sold off in a trade to FC Cincinnati in exchange for $150,000.

Initially, at FC Cincinnati, he played as a substitute until his breakthrough season under new manager Pat Noonan in 2022. In this season alone (2023), he has bagged 7 goals plus assists in 1529 minutes.

Similarly, Brandon already has 4 goals in 8 appearances for US National Team in his first International Senior season (2023).

Hailing from Guadalajara, he was born to Mexican parents who immigrated to the USA.

The Toledo’s are a family of five, with three sons. Brandon was the middle child of his parents.

Moreover, Brandon has revealed in an interview that “Mexico is in my blood. I grew up in a household where we only spoke Spanish; all our food was always Mexican. So I feel my Mexican heritage and culture very strongly”.

Similarly, his family showed immense support during his upbringing, which ultimately helped him become what he is today.

After Xolos invited Vazquez to join them, his dad decided the best route would be to go to Tijuana, where his son, Vazquez, can train every day and further enhance his skills.

To this day, Brandon reflects on his parent’s struggle and says that it must have been really stressful for his parents.

However, if it weren’t for his father helping his son get extra hours of training, Vazquez wouldn’t be ahead of everybody in that camp and wouldn’t have made it to the MLS.

Married Life And Kids

Brandon Vazquez exchanged vows with his then-long-term girlfriend, now wife, Jessica Fleck, on December 12, 2022.

Primarily focusing on their careers, the couple does not have any kids yet.

Jessica Fleck was born on April 28, 1993, in Atlanta, Georgia.

Jessica has a degree in Elementary Education & Teaching. She is now a substitute teacher by profession.

The two were pictured first time together on April 28, 2019, as seen on the athlete’s Instagram handle.

However, it has been known that Jessica was an Atlanta United fan herself, repeatedly attending the team’s matches.

That is how the two fell in love after running into each other during one of the games.
