Brian Francisco Flores, famously known as Brian Flores, was born on February 24, 1981. He was born in Brooklyn, New York.

The former Dolphins coach grew up and spent much of his childhood in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn. Flores was born to Raul Flores and Maria Flores, both Hondurans.

The 6’1″ coach attended the Poly Prep Country Day School in Brooklyn, New York. In 1999, he played football for Boston College as a linebacker. He continued to play football for the same until 2002. 

He was ready to be a part of the NFL, but he soon picked up an injury that prevented him from entering the NFL at the time.

A highly regarded NFL coach, Flores started his NFL career with the New England Patriots. 

Although he became a part of their coaching staff in 2008, he was already in the Patriots’ setup from early 2004.
