Jonathan Allen’s recent brawl with Daron Payne

Tensions began on the Washington Football Team after Jonathan Allen broke into a fight with Daron Payne

During Washington’s Sunday night loss to Dallas Cowboys, Allen took a full swing at his former Alabama teammate.

The videos that have gone viral now show the two of them talking at first. Payne, then, jabbed a finger into the side of Allen’s head, who was unaware of what was going to happen.

Following the attack, Allen was quick to swat Payne’s hand and took a full swing with his right, smacking Dallas player’s face.

As expected, the fight took a nasty turn and soon caught the attention of many.

However, the two were separated by three teammates with the help of coach Sam Mills Jr.

After everything settled down, both players finished the game and ensured it was nothing but a brotherly disagreement.

“Just a little brotherly disagreement; maybe the wrong place, wrong time, but it happened.”

Payne told ESPN, “You got brothers? You all fight, don’t you? S— happens.”

Nonetheless, things are going from bad to worse for Washington as they have lost three games in a row. And the brawl between two of their players is another fuss for them to answer.

This mini-brawl can be considered frustrations boiling over after an inferior defensive series for the Washington team.

But on the good side, the two are adamant about not letting this linger any further.

“When something happens on the field, you never let it carry into the locker room. Things get heated, we fix them, we sit down as grown men and move on.”

To this, Allen further added,

“I’ll take full responsibility for my actions, and so will Payne.”

What actually happened?

According to TV footages, Payne was seen getting into Allen’s face. Allen lost his cool after a long resistance of Payne poking his head.

Allen, then, lost his cool and swung through Payne’s head before being separated by other members of the defensive line and the coach sitting nearby.

Payne and Allen were teammates at Alabama, which means that they have a history beyond just their years in Washington.

Washington coach Ron Rivera stated that it all “stemmed from the frustration of the three-game losing streak” and more.
