Ryan Pulock had two brothers: Brock and Derrick Pulock but lost his younger brother Brock to an accident. The Canadian NHL player & his siblings were ardent hockey players from a young age.

Derrick is a former ice hockey player who played for their hometown’s senior team Grandview Comets.

While Ryan Pulock plays for the New York Islanders of the NHL, he represents not only the team but also his late brother’s passion for the game.

On March 29, 2010, after a day of the unfortunate accident, Ryan, then-15, lost his 13-year-old brother Brock who sustained serious injuries.

As reported, Pulock, with his brother Bock, his mother Tennis & grandmother, were driving to see their eldest brother Derrick’s hockey game.

The latter was playing for the hometown Grandview Comets senior hockey team.

Ryan Pulock’s brothers have been an important source of support and motivation for him throughout his hockey career.

He even has a tattoo of a Maple Leaf with the No.4 on his chest; it represents his late brother’s jersey number & favorite team Toronto Maple Leafs.

What Does His Elder Brother Do?

Ryan’s big brother Derrick left ice hockey & now owns a plumbing business, Pulock Plumbing, with his wife, Kelsey Pulock.

Derrick & Kelsey married on August 19, 2017, after nine years of relationship. According to their Instagram post, the two began dating in 2008.

Together, the duo shares three kids: Nash, 7, Blair, 6, and Brooks, 3.

Ryan Pulock was born on October 6, 1994, in Dauphin, Manitoba, Canada, to his parents, Dave and Tannis Pulock. His parents reportedly met in a grade school.

In an interview with The Athletic, his father, David, told that Tannis (Ryan’s mother) and his sister were best friends.

His parents have always been supportive of his hockey dreams and would often drive him and his brothers to games and practices.

NHL Career Journey

Ryan Pulock is a professional ice hockey player currently playing for the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League (NHL).

Pulock spent three seasons with the Islanders’ AHL club, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, before seeing action in the NHL.

Pulock started the 2016–17 campaign with the Islanders but suffered an injury early on and spent the remainder of the year in the AHL.

On February 28, 2016, he faced the Edmonton Oilers in his NHL debut.

Ryan Pulock is a talented and dedicated hockey player who has become an important part of the New York Islanders lineup, joining Ilya Sorokin, Mathew Barzal, and Bo Hovart, among others.

Pulock served as a guest instructor at Brandon, Manitoba’s Micheal Ferland’s Hockey School during the 2018 offseason.
