Brooke Henderson was born to her parents, Dave and Darlene Henderson, on September 10, 1997.

Her father, Dave, played a massive role in encouraging his daughters to pursue a career in golf.

Dave used to train his daughters since they were young and loved coaching them.

Growing up, Brooke’s elder sister was a role model for her in pursuing competitive golf.

Brooke Mackenzie Henderson is a Canadian professional golfer on the LPGA Tour.

Having started playing golf early, Henderson won the Canadian Women’s Amateur in 2013 and three other events on the CN Canadian Women’s Tour.

At 17, she had to play Monday qualifiers to make her way into LPGA Tour events after her request for an age waiver to compete at the LPGA Tour Q School was denied in late 2014.

Her first major championship came at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship in June 2016.

Currently ranked #7 in the LPGA world rankings, she has managed to bag a total of 13 LPGA Tour wins.

Moreover, after her 13th title win at the 2023 Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, she was just shy of bagging her 14th win.

At the 2023 Evian Championship, Henderson finished second to Celine Boutier in July.

Brooke Henderson Parents, Dave & Darlene Henderson

The professional LPGA golfer was born as the second child of her parents, Dave and Darlene Henderson.

Her father, Dave, worked as a teacher and played golf with Brooke and her elder sister, Brittany Henderson.

Dave was a terrific golfer, and his best pastime was playing golf with his kids.

It wouldn’t be wrong to say that if it weren’t for Mr. Henderson, Brooke would not be playing golf professionally.

He encouraged Brooke and Brittany to play golf and personally trained them. He would have them hit the dandelion plant with each golf shot and offer them a nickel every time they hit it.

Moreover, Dave currently coaches his professional golfer daughter, motivates her, and works on her weakness.

On the other hand, Brooke’s mother, Darlene, likes to remain away from the limelight. However, she has also equally contributed to her daughter’s success.

She has constantly supported Brooke’s career and often makes appearances in her daughter’s tournaments.

Furthermore, it is worth noting that Brooke has had a constant companion throughout her professional golfing career – her elder sister.

Brooke Henderson Elder Sister Caddies For Her

Brooke grew up playing golf with her elder sister, Brittany, who is six years older than her.

At first glance, the resemblance between the Henderson sisters is striking, making it challenging to spot any noticeable differences.

Interestingly, Brittany is a former professional golfer who played in Suncoast mini-tour events.

She was also a member of Golf Canada’s national junior team and won her first professional tournament at 14 while still an amateur.

Moreover, the elder Henderson sister also holds the Big South Championship 54-hole record with a 2-under 214, which she made in 2012.

Similarly, after turning professional, Brittany played 19 times across the then-Symetra Tour (now the Epson Tour) and the LPGA.

However, Brittany currently caddies for her younger sister, who is creating magic on the course.

The Canadian sisters have been one of the most impressive and long-standing partnerships on the LPGA Tour.

Brittany has been Brooke’s caddie for an impressive 12 out of her 13 career Tour titles, highlighting their strong and successful bond both on and off the golf course.
