Cale Makar’s girlfriend, Tracy Evans, is a former high school athlete. Like Cale, Tracy grew up in Alberta, and now the young couple is engaged.
Unlike his peers, Cale Makar isn’t big when it comes to using social media. The last picture the star defencemen shared on his Instagram was in September 2022, with the Stanley Cup.
And now even his girlfriend-turned-fiance, Tracy Evans, like him, loves to keep her distance from using social media platforms. The news of their engagement also came through Tracy’s older siblings sharing Instagram stories.
Drafted by Colorado Avalanche in the 2017 NHL Draft as fourth overall, Cale won the Stanley Cup with teammate Devon Toews in 2021.
The 2022 season didn’t end in the manner, Cale wanted to. He suffered from a series of injuries but was still able to make it to the Second All-Star Team alongside Leon Draisaitl and Artemi Panarin.

Cale Makar’s girlfriend, Tracy Evans, was a high school basketball player at Bowness High School. She graduated from Bowness in 2016 but has kept the rest of her details private.
Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Tracy is the youngest child of Robbi and Joann. She has an older brother, Logan Evans, and an older sister, Jamie Evans.
Her father, Robbi, passed away in 2018 after a six months battle with a brain tumor. At the time of her father’s demise, Tracy was only 20.
Tracy’s brother, Logan Evans, graduated from the University of British Colombia in 2017. And currently works as a field sales supervisor for Great Western Brewing Company.
Tracy’s elder sister, Jamie Evans, graduated from SAIT with a degree in marketing in 2020. She is the account manager for Hamilton and Partners and has previously worked as a spin instructor for YYC Cycle Spin Studio.
The fiance of the NHL player graduated from uni in 2021 and shared a couple of pictures on her Facebook handle. But for the most part, Tracy remains away from social media, and though she has an Instagram handle, it remains private.
Cale And Tracy Are Now Engaged
Though it is unknown when they started dating, Cale and Tracy are now an engaged couple. Tracy’s sister, Jamie, shared the exciting news on her Instagram story.
She shared a series of pictures on her Instagram story, including one of Cale lifting his fiance as Tracy showed off the engagement ring to the camera.
Unlike the couple of their age, Cale and Tracy haven’t shared any romantic details on their social media handles.
Makar hasn’t shared a single picture of his future wife on his Instagram handle, and he might keep it that way until their wedding.

Cale Makar comes from a family of hockey lovers. His parents, Gary and Laura, placed him in a hockey rink when he was just four.
His father, Gary Makar, has been the President of GT Consulting Group for the past two decades. And during one of the occasions, Gary also worked as a marketing consultant for Sundog Eyewear.
Though he might be a star NHL player, Cale Makar still receives a five-minute call from his parents every night.
A supportive bunch, Gary and Laura, had always been accepting of his creativity, and failure was welcomed in the household if it meant he learned a lesson from it.
Cale also has a younger brother named Taylor Makar. Taylor followed in his brother’s footsteps and was drafted by the Colorado Avalanche in the seventh round of the 2021 NHL draft.
His brother followed a similar route as he played three seasons with Brooks Bandits before joining the University of Massachusetts. But unlike his brother, Taylor is a power forward and played 32 games in his sophomore year, earning 12 points for UMass.
