Carolina Academy Boys’ Varsity Football Player Aden Jumper Dies in Fatal Accident, Leaving Lake City Community Heartbroken!

Aden Jumper, a versatile student-athlete known for his excellence on the football field and in track and field, tragically passed away at the age of 17 following a fatal accident on July 30, 2025.

Reports indicate that he passed away following an accident, but authorities or the school have not released further details.

Aden Jumper Was A Rising Senior And A Proud Bobcat At Carolina Academy!

Aden Jumper, 17, was a dedicated junior athlete who played for The Carolina Academy’s Boys’ Varsity Football team in Lake City, South Carolina.

Wearing jersey numbers #9 and #88, he played both wide receiver and outside linebacker.

He was a member of the Class of 2026 and listed as an 11th-grade player on the official team roster.

During the 2024 season, Aden contributed to the team, which recorded a 1-9 overall record.

The team’s sole win was a 36-24 victory over Southside, which highlighted their offensive potential.

However, the team faced strong opponents like Beaufort Academy, Palmetto, and Christ Church Episcopal, competing in SCISA Class AAA Region 2.

Beyond his football career, he also participated in high school track events for The Carolina Academy.

In the 2024 outdoor track and field season, Aden clocked a time of 1:03.68 in the 400 meters and earned a strong placement within his team as the fourth-ranked runner.

Competing under Region II of SCISA Class AAAA, his performance contributed to The Carolina Academy’s athletic representation across South Carolina and at the national level.

Aden’s untimely passing has left a void in the heart of his extended family and the entire Lake City community.

His teammates, coaches, classmates, and loved ones expressed their grief and honored his memory through heartfelt tributes.

The Carolina Academy released a statement with a heartfelt tribute, which reads:

It is with much sadness to share this but there was an accident earlier today that claimed the life of one of our students, Aden Jumper. Aden was a rising senior this year and a beloved Bobcat. Our hearts are broken as we all mourn the loss of our out going and loving student, classmate, teammate, friend, brother! Please keep his family and friends in your prayers today and the days to come.

Moreover, Aden’s aunt expressed her sadness and asked for prayers for her family, saying:

My nephew was in a fatal accident this am

2025 has not been a good year for our family

Although his life was cut short at a very young age, his memories and legacy will be remembered.
