Carter Hart, a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender, actively defends the net for the Philadelphia Flyers in the NHL.

Raised in Sherwood Park, Alberta, his enthusiasm for hockey ignited during his childhood.

He honed his skills with the WHL’s Silvertips (2013-17) and AHL’s Phantoms (2017-18) before bursting into the NHL scene with the Flyers in 2018.

The Flyers handpicked Hart in the second round of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, recognizing him as the top goaltender prospect that year.

Making history, he seized the title of the youngest goaltender in Flyers history to win his NHL debut on December 18, 2018.

Additionally, in 2020, he became the youngest Flyers goaltender to secure a postseason victory.

On the international stage, Hart actively represents Canada in tournaments such as the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament, IIHF World U20 Championship, and Ice Hockey World Championships.

His exceptional talents have earned him numerous accolades from the Western Hockey League (WHL) and the National Hockey League (NHL).

Carter Hart’s Parents: Meet Father John and Mother Shauna

Carter Hart’s father, John Hart, played a pivotal role in inspiring him throughout his career, while his mother, Shauna Hart, provided unwavering support.

Initially drawn to hockey by his father’s influence, Carter aspired to follow in his footsteps as a forward.

However, as his passion for goaltending grew, Carter transitioned to the position of goalie.

John, who once played for the NAIT Ooks, felt a mix of nerves and pride watching his son play at the NHL level in the Wells Fargo Center.

On the other hand, Shauna was moved to tears witnessing her son’s NHL debut.

Outside hockey, Shauna, a former mortgage administrator, advocates for environmental causes.

When not discussing sports, she shares mesmerizing photos of her travels.
